I wish we could control what we feel. But we're only human. The frustration you feel sounds perfectly natural. I think you're kicking ass and taking names, frankly.

Be at peace, Lynn. You are good. :)

She really did, @rollingalong ... and I want to add at the beginning that Margaret is the type of woman that could have easily grown old and not gotten married and had children, and been perfectly happy. lol She was 1 month from being 36 yrs old when she married my father.

He didn't know what he was getting. Of that, I'm convinced.

Before re-connecting with my father (they knew each other from teenage years where they both went to the same church.). This is the same church that later my father would get her a job...and she would remain the church secretary for 57 yrs.

When they re-met as adults, she was living in Charleston, SC where she worked at the Naval Base as a civilian in the secretarial pool. She worked as a top stenographer where she and another woman - mama calls them "another girl" would swap off every 30 minutes. She would take shorthand at meetings of the heads of the depts, and of course even the military acknowledges to get accurate "recordings" using someone's mind and hands, one must be given breaks.

She had done that for maybe 12 yrs...and prior to that had worked as a secretary, in a government pool after getting on the gov't merit list at age 20 (I think she said 20 yrs old.)

There is the occasion I wonder if the gov't did something to her mind to make her .. I don't know.

Be like she is....and that isn't recent thinking of mine either. I assure you its crossed my mind for yrs. :expressionless:

For the first time ever...this dang thing started getting wonky and posted that up there ^^^ before I was ready...before I even thought I hit the post reply!

Pittsburghers know how to protest but could care less about hazardous materials going thru their neighborhood and high population areas.

A "major" drug operation was shut down today in the neighboring city of Bardwell, KY, population 723. More than fifteen marijuana plants were confiscated. The sheriff's office "will continue to ramp up it's drug eradication efforts by use of drone operations, K9 interdiction [and] patrol highway drug interdiction operations...". Lol.

I get a kick out of the sheriff department using drones, K-9s and the "highway patrol" to hunt down the perpetrators...there's only 700 people in the 'city' ffs. Reminds me of the episode of The Andy Griffith Show were Barney gets a motorcycle for the department.
