OR maybe she just recognizes that he's a sniveling little troll (you said as much) and doesnt recognize him as a worthy debate partner Oh, and side note, Cenk Uyger is annoying but all the same, he destroyed Shapiro in their debate
when someone follows the same logical inconsistencies of course its going to seem like they're right and that they've won
As pointed out: you were called an alt right tool. Not a white nationalist. I call you an alt right tool too (as i did before): you fit the definition. Even if you don't affiliate with/as alt right you still meet the definition of an alt right tool. Its because of the arguments you make, how you make them and the sources you use. I for one don't think you're a white nationalist and never called you as such. I see them as different things. Just because a lot of alt right tools are also white nationalists or display typical characteristics of 'the white insecure male' doesn't mean all alt right tools or followers are convinced or conscious white nationalists. You do display traits of a white insecure male too btw but I don't think thats due to being a white nationalist at all. You're also saying you're called this or that out of convenience/because it suits others argument at that point: if you find this a filthy or unfortunate tactic why do you use it yourself as well (pretty frequently)?
Shaman's mentors, Milo and Lauren, strenuously deny white racism while pushing their virulent xenophobic line against immigrants in general and immigrants in particular, and also targeting feminism. The Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer groups are the latest organized manifestations of this strain of "lost Boys". These AltLiters do seem to be a distinctive breed. Unlike AltRight types, like Richard Spencer's crew, who are classic authoritarian personality types, the AltLiters like to characterize themselves as "libertarian" (read undisciplined). These rebels without a clue tend to be products of "failure to launch" family situations. Recently emerged from their mom's basements and politically mobilized by Milo's gamergate, these socially marginal young men (some no longer that young) have been frustrated by their inability to hold steady jobs and form stable heterosexual relationships. So they blame women, immigrants and Muslims, and are available for pied pipers like Milo, Gavin McInnes and Joey Gibson to recruit them by giving direction to their lives and helping them deal with their castration anxieties. They do have talent as internet trolls. Logic is not their forte, but they're whizzes at logical fallacies.
6 As I’ve pointed out you self-identify as alt-right, would prefer far-right or extreme-right? Look you have already admitted you knew there was and are racists in the alt-right movement of which you are a part and you admit that you have very similar views to those actual racists. Now the thing is that if someone hangs out with racists and shares a lot of the same views as those racists, then people are going to suspect they are also racist. I mean the people I think of as not been racist don’t hangout actually or metaphorically with racists and don’t share a lot of the same views as racists, so people don’t suspect them of being racist and so they don’t get asked if they are. But you admit that you do, so it’s not surprising people are going to keep wondering if you are a racist. Now you seem to be claiming you think racism is bad and that racists are bad people with bad ideas, so why haven’t you seemed to ask yourself why you share a lot of similar ideas with them? But you already knew the alt-right had racist in it and were accepting of that - “Some racists identify alt-right, but the movement is more diverse than that” and you went on to define what alt-righters views were which are what your views still seem to be. You seem to be blaming the media for letting the cat out of the bag by pointing out something that you already knew.
"Hey baby, want to come over and have an open dialog about your views on subsidized healthcare and college tuition "
False. I do not identify as alt-right. I understand that to someone as fringe left as you, anything slightly right of center is far right anyway. So sure. Call me far right all you want. Despite the fact that my social views are very center leaning. There are racists in every group. Some left wingers are very racist too, like Sara Jeong of the NYT. Does that mean you yourself ought to hand over your self described leftist label? I blame the media for misrepresenting what the alt-right really was. But at the end of the day, it's just another political brand that comes and goes. So I don't have enough fucks to give about what the media has done to popularize it as a Black Lives Matter equivalent for angry white people.
Nowadays, the colloquial definition of alt-right is white nationalist. I may be a jerk in the eyes of some of you, but a racist I am not. When you call someone alt-right these days, you are calling them a racist all the same. I'm glad you don't truly believe I'm a white nationalist unlike @Balbus and some of the others. There are plenty of well known members on here who use this forums to talk about their mental struggles and personal insecurities too (regardless what their race might be). So I don't why I can't be one who does it all the same. Sometimes these semi-anonymous boards are helpful for this.
The way I see it, there are good trolls and there are bad trolls. Bad trolls spam message boards with raunchy pornography, call people horrible names for no reason, pretend to be racists to get a rise out of people, spread rumors via yellow journalism, and more. Good trolls are the kinds of people who cleverly use their resources to expose the blatant bigotry and hypocrisy of the self righteous. Good trolls are often hilarious and are fun to have around on message boards. Michael Moore for example, is a good left wing troll who made a career out of trolling right wingers. Cenk started out calm and cool in the beginning, but you can tell he was breaking down and getting restless toward the end. Shapiro stayed calm the whole way through. But feel free to believe whatever you want.
I can see what reading hit pieces day in and day out can do to a person.... Immigrants, Muslims, refugees, and feminists aren't a race. So why would they have any "white racism" to deny? The way I see it, they are spreading the message that needs to be heard: Western culture is the best, and it has created the best innovations and prosperity in all of human history. Some people hate western culture and are hellbent on destroying it.
Well at least now I know how you deal with cognitive dissonance. Personally what works for me is considering changing my opinion when I can't defend it from criticism. But that's just me. Cheers.
That's excatly what I suspected AltLite isn't "racist" because it's hate is directed toward immigrants and Muslims and women, which technically aren't races. But bigotry is bigotry just the same: Isalamaphobia, xenophobia and sexism are symptoms of insecurity on the part of elements of society which don't feel strong enough to handle the competition. Racism has bad press. The other forms of bigotry are safer in selling hate to the public. Why would they have any "white racism" to deny? Good question, but deny it they do, and so do you, to a point that make one think they "doth protest too much." Denial, as they say, Ain't just that long river in Africa. The difference between hating dark people because of their race and dark people because of their religion, or in feeling superior because of one's white race or because of one's Western cultural heritage is tenuous at best. Ethnocentric chest thumping about one's cultural superiority (China, India and Islam had some impressive achievements, and the shelf-life of western civilization has yet to be determined) is symptomatic of personal insecurity, in which a person compensates for doubts about self-worth by identifying with achievements of a collectivity (s)he had nothing to do with.
I never thought you were a racist, nor do I think so of Milo, Lauren or the Donald himself. I must confess to thinking they were even worse, demagogues who themselves probably don't really mind Muslims or immigrants at all (some of their best friends are Muslims, I know) but will use hate as a tool to achieve personal goals. Say it ain't so. And if it isn't, why the OCD relentless dissemination of lurid anti-Muslim articles from the sewers of the internet. Most of your stuff, down to the female fat shaming, simply echoes Milo to the point that it's hard to distinguish between the two of you. Obviously he did well with it, until the pedophile thing. Such talents are in demand in some quarters. Are you trying for an audition?
A lot of the Islamic achievements were actually from what was left of the empires they conquered such as Persia. I say what was left since most of the advancements were destroyed when they took over. Christians did much of the same thing with the destruction of the library of Alexandria. The best culture should include tolerance. If gays are put to death in 12 separate Muslim countries I would say it's their culture that's intolerant.
The shelf life of western civilization is in question, because so many people have such great resentment to it, and want to tear it all down. Including open-border globalists, racists who hate white people, cultural marxists, 3rd world religious extremists, and those who want to destroy tradition and gender roles that have worked efficiently for thousands of years. Face it, some cultures are better than others. In some cultures, killing endangered exotic animals to harvest organs for superstitious beliefs is still practiced. In some cultures, women are still treated like male property. In some cultures, witch doctors are still preferred over Doctors Without Borders. While there've been many cultures who have had their own achievements to share with the world, it is the influence of western civilization that have been the blueprint for the ascent of human civilization: The Industrial Revolution, leading the way to ending legal slavery, the Enlightenment, the Renaissance, technological progress, the arts, western medicine, and more. Western civilization isn't perfect. There's still plenty more westerners can learn from other cultures, and they too have their achievements they can share with us. The uncontacted native tribes in Western Brazil are a good example. I bet once anthropologists can finally get in contact with them, they probably can share with us lots of medicinal knowledge from organisms found in the jungle. They probably know a lot of wilderness survival skills that a typical westerner could greatly benefit from when Western Civilization finally collapses once the NWO is complete. The West is also the most tolerant toward accepting other cultures as well. If western culture is so awful, why do so many people so eager to come to live in it? Still, I haven't seen your example of the white racism these supposed "alt-light" have to deny..... Western civilization isn't about whiteness. That's good. I still respect you even though I find your politics a bit off. Why the anti-muslim articles? Part of it is show light on the culture of the Islamic world isn't as peaceful and progressive as we are all indoctrinated to believe. Also to break the narrative that all cultures are equal and the same, and that cultural relativism is not a good thing. And to show what our society could look like when a religion of conquest comes in unchecked en masse. I know that not all Muslims think the same way; some are happy to leave their religiously far-right wing countries behind, to live a life of freedom in the western world, while practicing their religion peacefully with infidels. The (female) fat shaming I've been going on about is basically a retaliation to the harmful Body-Positivity movement brought on by the new age of progressivism. No, you are not healthy and beautiful at any size; you are shortening your life span and greatly lowering your sexual market value to finding a partner. Sure there are people out there with fat fetishes who prefer it, but they are a small minority. The body positivity movement plays with the emotions of people with health problems by telling them things they want to hear that aren't real. I'm not at my ideal body image and I want to lose 20 pounds myself. But you aren't going to encourage me to lose that 20 pounds by telling me that a human chick-magnet in my current state.
The greatest threat I see to western civilization at the present time--and it's the greatest one encountered in my lifetime--is the ethno-nationalism that you push by your propaganda. The traditions of respect for the rule of law, an emphasis on process, and welcoming of diversity are central to what sets us apart from most of the world. You and your movement, not the Muslims, are the barbarians at the gate, seeking to tear it all down and replace it with what is currently occupying the White House. Wasn't it Milo who said of his followers "They want to burn it all down". When I read your posts, my mental image of you is that of a blue-painted savage with a bone through his nose, ready to wreck it all.
