Definitely not an optimal surf spot, but if I could pop up and ride one wave into the beach, it was considered acceptable.

Also, isn't Eugene landlocked in the middle of the state?

 

I took a train to get there, tbh I don't really remember exactly where in the state it's located. It was kind of a unremarkable city, nothing bad really, but nothing stood out either. I think Portland would be much more my scene.
