shingles never match unless you rip the whole roof off. Weathered vs New. No hoa here, I can do what I want.

 

Hard to see but there was full rainbow flames in my fire. red blue green and purple. Just, flirting around for 20mins or more. Not sure how or why. I fear I burned a good wand. it's that blue strip, I know it doesn't look like a rainbow here, but it was quite fantastic and impressive in the real life.

 

That looks pretty cool to me....Speaking of cool, it's still too hot to have a fire here.

had a friend shingle a neighbours place about 10 years ago

she only had bad shingles on one side so he only did one side...they matched really close ..most people dont notice unless i point it out

another cheap neighbour did his house by himself one side at a time (four sided cottage style)..it took him a whole year to get it all done...i think he bought seconds or a bad batch..they are awful looking already and edges rolling up....the cheap regular shingles are crap...only ones that last here are the multilayer architectural like it appears pete used

 

I'll keep that in mind because my roof is almost 34 years old and already the son is talking about how to get it done for cheap.

 

I know. but sometimes its hard to catch them with a camera. I see a lot of colors in the fire then take a picture and its blah..

 

I wonder if it's lighter knot that made those colors in Irmi's fire.

 

Well that was a hell of an afternoon. Had to herd the 6 of the nine new steers from the barn stall into pasture so we had to separate a herd of recently castrated cows in the tiny ass stall. Needless to say I fucked up & one extra got out. They then proceeded to jump over the barbwire fencin', took it out. After we herded all but one into pasture the last one decided to charge all three of us. Knocked one guy to the ground but he managed to get out of the way. We managed to shout him out the pasture gate. Then we had to fix the barbwire fence with a comealong. Definitely crazy afternoon

Spend the early morning packing the trailer up. That's all ready to go now, now just the things in the truck tray and we be done. Probably do the shopping for that later in the week. So that was a good start. now I'm not probably going to do much else as my back is sore but I'll see how I feel after this warm bath.

I had a great dream about my Dad. We were busking together. It was in the country where most of the dreams I have take place. It's kind of like Earth but surreal and slightly cyberpunk. Anyway me and Dad were busking and writing songs on the fly. At one point I asked him what chord to play and he says 'c major 7' and I say no c sus 4 would be better. It was one of those hyper-vivid dreams where you wake up feeling revivified and positive.

 

Yeah... Those don't happen.
