Isn't it amazing that just a few minimal dashes and shakes of soy sauce (bug juice) on a 2 cup bowl of plain white rice can completely change the entire taste of the rice?

 

They have some nice little bongs in Spain..rollin but how you use them, I haven't a clue, but they are lovely.

Pete, try the same thing but with balsamic vinegar.. yummy!

You'd change your tune if you lived up here haha. We have one rock station and one shitty pop station that plays a couple decent songs every hour.

When I'm driving now, I either listen to podcasts or to punk music.

Speaking of that, punk shows are weird now haha. I'm 30 and was one of the youngest people at the last Rancid show I went to.

 

My daughter has recently started to draw people, but they all kind of look like dicks.

 

She is very insightful... Many people are dicks.

I wouldn't know....I am not a rice guy....no rice for me....I will eat it if served to me but I only cook rice when I am out of feed and the hens are hungry...dry rice will kill a bird but cooked rice they love...I have a 10 pound back of rice under my counter that I keep in case someone gets their cell phone wet

growing up with 6 kids you wouyld think my mom would encorporate the rice?...but she didn't....I dont think I ever saw mom cook rice her whole life

People do eat late, and I gather you mean tapas? I love real Spanish tapas, and I can tell you, UK has tapas restaurants, and it's Definately not the same..
The reason they eat late, because they rest with the family in the hottest time of the day. They got it sorted over there.
Beautiful place, beautiful people. And the wine, well what can I say.. Rioja best wine in the world... and it's cheap as chips

 

my work buddy says his wife and him bought a house that was owned by lesbians but they broke up and sold the house. and I said "are you going to rip the carpet out?" and another person almost spit their coffee.

 

I miss England. I went for a week in May of 2017, but I feel like a week is too short a time to get to know a place. Maybe I'll go back one day. The reason I bring it up is @morrow said "cheap as chips" and I remember that potatoes were called chips in restaurants. Even the fast food places. What you would call "french fries" in the United States are called "chips" in England; at least that's been my experience. I'm sure they know what you're talking about if you were to ask about french fries though.

Your right Soul, a week is not enough, you probably never got out of London in that time..
French fries and chips once were different things, French fries were the thin stick like chips whereas chips, British chips were not pre purchased but fried at least 2 times and cut from potatoes peeled in the home, the first cook being called blanched, best chips ever..

 

Just the balsamic Pete lol.

If you don't have any in the house, buy a balsamic glaze, nice and thick and sticky, lovely on all meats and salads too... and chips lol

 

I kind of force myself to listen to the radio every now and then


Other wise there are some tunes, mainly one hit wonders of times of yor, I would never hear again

 

I was in Lithgow BTW on Sunday. Mother is scouting around for for a house to retire to somewhere at least a couple hours away from Sydney

It was pretty, not what I expected, I expected coal miner shacks, 3 abandoned cars out the front of each house, every guy with a mullet and Ride the Lightning t-shirt

Centre of town immaculate, some very nice houses, and the views, wow
