Yea, communism isn't the answer. But, something different from what we have now. Yet, not anarchy. I'll have to think on this.
I think that previous banned members who were granted access again due to site builds and regulations should have to come clean about who they are and who they were before tricking and befriending established members under false pretences.
capitalism is just another ideology, and is no more worth a dam then any other either. christianity is just another religion, that neither owns god nor truth, any more nor better then any other. human is just another species. it may be the most sapient, which to me means imaginative, species on its planet, but there are billions of solar systems, just in our own galaxy, and not solid reason to assume most of them don't also have at least one of their planets, in its goldylocks zone, like our own. that life evolves entirely indipendently on each of them. and the only reason we haven't "met the neighbors" is that a: its just as far from there to here as it is from here to there, (limits of physical science may apply), and b: just maybe, the attitudes of today's dominant culture, may make our company as a species something less then desirable nor sought after.
That's quite a plot twist. I agree. Everyone knows my previous usernames, I wish I knew theirs. It would have been fair.
what we need to not need a government is sufficient mutual consideration between if not everybody, certainly a significant majority. this is actually something i believe our species is purrfectly capable of. even governments can take forms less hierarchal and less formalized then our currently dominant culture is familiar with. many indiginous cultures practiced such forms. they were not ideologies as we think in terms of those either. there is a great deal of good we could accomplish by relearning some of those.
Mine was neoprene_queen. But you knew that. Anyway, who cares? Remarque for the win. You and I butted heads before we got to know each other. It was based on bullshit. Our friendship is based on things that are much more tangible. Thank you for being awesome.
Stated an unpopular opinion. I remember in another forum, years ago there was the anonymous message thread. Boy, did that cause an explosion. Such flammable threads are quite revealing. I enjoy the smell of gun smoke in the air too.
That's where I'm from!! Common sense and unconditional love for all life. Then we'll be capable of self governing. Come on humans, we can do it!
Common sense and love for each other will lead to the inevitable conclusion we, in our current situation with technology, shared resources, sheer amount of people, etc. etc, need some form of government. 'Something in between' would turn out just to be that. A different kind of governing stuff, but still a government in the sense of people representing others in their governing function.
