farmers are good at crop rotation and applying calcium or lye as needed to replenish the soil....the milk and beef farmers spray the cow shit back onto the field so there is lots of nutrients in those fields....it really depends on where you live and the composition of the local soil.....people in Arizona and California or mexico do not farm like those in Canada...climate and soil makes a difference.....

Most don't ma'am. Before I came to this here organic farm I had no damn clue just how poor in flavor the "foods" I'd always bought at the supermarket were & are. Ain't even just tomatoes. Our beef is better, our butternut squash is better, our leeks are better etc. Also no this ain't some sort of wild eyed endorsement from a prideful way. I've been genuinely impressed by just how much more flavor things here have.
Damn straight. Though as @rollingalong said even farmers markets can't guarantee GMO free crops. Best to go to a source for food directly & see what & how they grow for yourself. If a farm won't let a payin' customer on their land to witness the actions taken to grow their food that farmer is hidin' somethin'.
Glad to know that some actually take time to find out what real quality is.
You do have enough space for a garden. I swear it. If you actually want to learn how you can start producin' food for yourself feel free to PM me & I'll gladly help best I can.

Southern accents are not cute or charming
They were in my grandmother's day
But they have not evolved in a good way at all

I miss hearing the Boston accent. People under 35 just don't have it anymore. It's dying off.

    Makes me wicked sad

I would add a little nuance here. Not every farmer is a social animal or eager to walk consumers around their farm every time some come by. When they say 'no, I'm busy running my farm, go inform yourself in another way' it isn't wise to assume by definition he (or she! uh oh just in time :D ;) ) has something to hide..

After the reaction to my previous unpopular opinion I should probably be quiet, but here goes some more unpopular opinions...

I do not like Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, etc.

    Also, I like LeBron James.

See this is the kind of old school southern accent I do find charming

I guess there's a difference between southern accents in cities and in rural areas. And regional accents are dying out in urban areas, like what neo mentioned with Boston.

Then you have country accents, which is what I mean by not cute and charming. I find them incredibly harsh and abrasive
