That kind of labelling and treatment is a part of rape culture----sadly.

From a biological standpoint, I don't think it would make sense for the males of a species to be wired to sleep around, while the females are wired to stay monogamous. It kind of defeats the purpose of keeping diversity in the gene pool, unless a lot of the females that have committed themselves to a male are being subjected to rape...

This is a tired argument. People get married because of love, companionship, having a family, growing old with somebody. Why must you equate marriage with monogamy? Because western culture has told you thats the way it’s supposed to be? Humans have always been naturally polygamous, not monogamous. Do you even know when monogamy even came into the picture? During the agricultural revolution in order to establish property and paternal rights. And I’m not knocking you on your choice to be in a monogamous relationship that’s on you. But don’t show up here on a free love forum and be all sanctimonious and judgmental on people for wanting to do what humans are biologically driven to do.

    Typical female entitlement response.

And you fail to understand, princess, when someone’s being judged or not . Surprised you didn’t follow that up with na na na-na na!

    You could be right, yea.

I think it comes down to what works best for a couple. As long as both people are on the same page, that's what matters. Often times, one or the other isn't on the same page, so that can create imbalance.

My husband and I have an open marriage. He never gets jealous if I'm with another guy. I got slightly jealous the first few times he was with a girl (and sometimes still do) but I get more excited than jealous watching or knowing he's been with another girl. I like the idea that other girls find him hot enough to have sex with . It makes him more attractive to me.
