Same. The older I get, the less wisdom I see in observing years at all. Because when you turn 30 everything shifts into high gear and you start feeling like you're careening towards the grave at 90mph

Would be better to just not observe the passage of time at all

    Then you hit 40

Half a hundred is around the corner staring at you.

You wouldn't like my retirement countdown clock then. It currently says 6,385 days, 22 hours, 36 minutes and 6 seconds till I'm officially done.

However, when you get in your 60's (62, to be specific) and you aren't working (for money)...and you plan/desperately want to get early social security...that passage of time can't come quick enough!

For a time I HATED even mentioning my age...I believe I got this from my weirdo mother's family as they were all (to a one) like this. That changed though, especially when I saw how it made The Mother mad. :D :D :D

There is also a type something - like the experience and wisdom of age (if you aren't a total stupid bigoted ass) that comes the older you get. Granted, some people may get to be 100 and never reach that age of respect (for lack of better word),...but I appreciate and recognize it. I'm sure a lot of you do, too.

I dont know how you live like that.

I also have been more careful lately about wishing away time. I dont wanna wish my life away trying to get through the mundane bits

NOOOOO don't say that. I don't care that my back hurts more often than not if I do much work, or that I forget words and have to spend an inordinate amount of time remembering something as simple as "intermittent"... I know your brain still works quite well. Maybe you had an extremely good time back when, and you are paying for it now? idk

I know my back is fucked because I swam into the side of a swimming pool when I was 21. Now I wasn't high at the time...but STILL that was the age I was really having a "good time". lol

I enjoy sex more (albeit less frequently) as I've gotten older. That's been surprising, to me at least.

What the actual fuck Faelix, i'm horrified by your treatment in the hospital

I am the last person who needs to tell someone to go to the doctor...but...please follow up with a kind and compassionate doctor who will listen to you. You need to get to the bottom of what's causing that

But I'm glad to hear about your shift in perspective <3

Fae, a mere 10 posts ago my birthday was being talked about. How DARE you steal the spotlight with that classic rendition of Old Macdonald!

(I want to hear more. Message me if you want to keep writing about it)
