It was another wake, do stuff, nap again first part of the day.

Now, it's shower time and then out to pick up hubby's medications.

Mom called and said they are going to the brewery asked if I want to join.
Neither of them drinks craft beer but both know I do (they being my mom and older sister)

 

It would have worked the other way if my daughter and her wife had called and asked if I wanted to go to the brewery.

I would have had one beer and then ended up the DD.

Got here and mom is nowhere to be found. If she takes another 30 minutes uber is the DD.

Have to check with hubby. I think I heard him on a phone call. His brother-in-law went back in the hospital last night.

He's down to 1/3 a lung on the right side from having cancer twice. He'd got pneumonia now.

 

Brother-in-law is no worse.

They are thinking of doing a lung wash on him, which is where they flush the lung with antibiotics.

Eventually, he may have the lobe removed all together if it keeps giving trouble.

 

Not such a baby anymore :/

Hey! How was your yule party?

 

The Yule party was fun. I mentioned that we were having a skaldic circle, and not knowing what a skaldic circle was.

Well, essentially, we drank home made meade out of a hollowed-out antler horn. We passed it around, taking sips of meade as we enjoyed taking turns telling stories and singing folk songs.

 

We also had a music circle, where we all played instruments made from animals that my friends had hunted or raised and slaughtered. There were rattles made from bones, hooves, and dried shells, as well as drums made from deer hide. Very interesting.
