My brain is working again. Brainstorming for a proposal for a thesis for a masters program. Something to do with research on harm reduction, drug policy, etc. Maybe focus on remote/northern communities. Gotta start reading and see what's out there already...

 

at the dispensary there is a tree, and some candy canes on the table but not on the tree. I took all the wrappers off and put them on the tree. now they are still on there after a week. nobody is going to eat them shitty things anyways.. they were meant for consumption but i seen them there enough. now they're where they belong ..

As for the disappointed reactions, it kind of shows you who your real friends are but I feel especially on social media, and even in real life if you're accomplishing something but your friends aren't then there's touch of anymosity there. Also with travel, no point telling people you're on vacation, they immediately get upset and jealous. Then you start getting the little hints "well, wish I was on vacation".

My last big trip to America, as I posted on Facebook for my journal log, I had folks I hadn't seen or heard from in years excited to see I was able to do the things I spoke about all my life and then some of my friends, just got nothing from them and it all stemmed to the fact that I was doing it and they weren't so yeah, shows up your friendship pretty well being the barer of good news. It's like most want to cling to the negative, they can relate to that more, as they seem disgruntled with life, they don't want to hear about any achievements others are having.

Post something positive, get few likes
Post something negative, get 20 likes.
It's like a disease.

If I see that on social media I probably like the post, if I want to talk about it I will PM. Or I might give them a love heart because I actually like to see people happy and I love it when someone wants to go somewhere and they finally get to do that, that's living to me so I get upbeat and positive about it.

I'm not sure if sometimes social media is an outlet to show off, like you have them folks who every day they post pics of being out, getting drunk and having fun and I suppose if you're not that would annoy you, because you can basically sit there and be like, well, their life seems better than mine so I can see how that can get you down.

I'm not sure if people actually post knowing they'll be annoying someone or not. It's werid because, to me social media, although now you can relatively become more social with more communication, it's still all text form where you're basically hiding in your room or at home interacting with someone but it's a false sense of interaction.

I feel this sometimes, I feel lonely. The more people I talk to online, the lonelier I feel and become. If I think of social media, I can talk to folks all around the world now whenever I want to, but that distracts me from actually interacting with people that are close to me.

Its like a catch 22. I'm always on the look for a new pen pal or someone I could possibly get close to, like as a friend. A friend somewhere that one day maybe we could meet and we are friends. I do it with iRacing a lot now, I've met about 5 racers, we share that one common interest which is a big part of our lives right now, so the interaction with each other when we do meet is fun and positive. And yet still, I hear the mumbles from people when you say "hey I met such and such on the weekend" like you know, they never got to, they didn't get to come out and have fun, it spirals them into disappointment and depression.

Sometimes I'm not sure how good communicating online actually is for you, I get the disappointment too. I just have to shrug it off though, which I feel I'm getting better at.

 

I get annoyed when people want me to "Like And Share" their Jesus post. That generally results in an 'unfollow' from me.

 

I work with plastics, it looks like the shit I work with as much as a anything.

I dont like negative people who have to put you down to make themselves feel better

I know we're all battling our own demons and I can empathize with jealousy and insecurity to a certain extent but not when it comes to how you treat your friends

I get jealous when my American friends post about being at the races or football games. Hehe. but that's alright that's not ardent hatred or negativity that's just "damn, I wish I was there" jealousy.

I dunno, I guess everyone is different. I'm a relaxed poster on FB all you get out of me these days is if the Broncos win or something NASCAR related. If I'm having a good time I'll upload a photo of me drinking or where I am but that's not bragging rights, that's just for my journal. Facebook is my journal.

Few weeks back I was out with friends and I mention to JonnoBoy I saw his photo of him in the Alps and I said that was cool, he said "oh, yeah I just posted that because I knew everybody was at work I was just like man fuck you guys" lol.

 

And then I have the posting friends who post nothing but champagne and wine. It looks like their whole life revolved around being out, eating drink etc. Every day another post, another pose with wine. They're the sorts of post I guess is fishing for attention or trying to make out that everything is better for them. Doesn't fool me, you wanna impress me girl you need to be holding a stein.

like, honestly. make a list, and then share the love-jesus post with your love-jesus list.
i am not in the loves jesus list. im in the "could have been a real life man" club, but not a "one true god's divine rape" club.

i sometimes dump people for that reason. the only super-plus-god one still getting through is an ex, and, i have a deep love for him, and hes new to the faithyness. im not going to cut him off before he has good support elsewhere. and if god gives him that then, fine. to each their own.

 

Seriously, Fae, it sounds like you are dealing with some fake ass people, and that cousin sounds like someone I would just be waiting for her to say ONE more critical thing so I could tell her to KISS MY ASS. I mean for real, I would...please please give her just a tad of what she hands out. See how special she feels. You are so intelligent and talented, and no doubt she is jealous...but I'm sure she would never expect you to stand up to her.

You don't need jackasses like that in your life. The people you need in your life will come....like this upcoming job. You might meet some really neat people there...maybe not, but maybe so.

OR if you don't share this post within 10 minutes, HE will know you are ashamed and HE will see you and judge you bla bla bla. I'm quite certain I've pissed off more than one when I would tell them that "it really doesn't work like that...GOD TOLD ME SO!
