I thought he was a businessman, but he doesn't know that by shutting the southern border it effects the economy.

Actually, I think I do. I didn't know he donated his salary. It seems so out of character!

 

Just think about all the street people who could eat on that much money. They could even have real toilet paper for a change, instead of some out of the dumpster.

 

Just think of all the homeless Americans we could feed and give tiolet paper to instead of the flood of imigrants we are giving it to. Much more than the 400K.

 

Trump is a pathological liar, I can’t believe he would have the gall to stand before the Troops and tell them “This is your first pay raise in 10 years” as if they were too stupid to realize they’ve been getting small yet steady pay raises over the past decade.


If that wasn’t bad enough he said “I raised your pay by 10% when in fact it was only 2.83%. in 2018

Please share with us the documentation you have which proves immigrants get food and toilet paper. As far as I know, Republicans don't want to give anything, so their racial and economic superiority remains perpetual.

I was thinking you were going to blame the immigration, the cages, and the toilet paper on Obama. I also think the poor unemployed homeless Americans are on the sidewalks without food, medicine, or toilet paper because of Trump and Pence. It is the Republicans who do not want Americans to have any government services.

 

Really? Are you suggesting that there was the same deliberate "zero tolerance" policy under Obama of treating asylum seekers as criminals and separating children from their families? That seems not to be true. In 2014, there was an influx of unaccompanied minors who showed up at the border, fleeing violence from Central America. The Obama policy was to move them out of the shelters as rapidly as possibly and reunite them with their parents. Republican talking points and insinuations to the contrary are deliberately misleading.

And are you seriously suggesting that people held in prison are better off than those who are free because they're provided with free food and toilet paper?

 

2 different assertions. The "prove they receive toilet paper and food" assertion was answered.

As to the second assertion.
Trump owns the current tough stance he is taking on immigrants. Obama was a pussy in assuming treating them nice was going to help our country. And he most certainly would prefer to treat immigrants better than our veterans.

There is no dispute he tried to solve the problem of the flood if immigrants. He just failed miserably at it. Maybe......maybe Trump will solve it.

 

So, why are immigrants so bad? Didn't most white folks come here without documentation? Were the local natives consulted before all the whites invaded their homelands?

 

Did anyone provide them with food and toilet paper? Housing, medical care, clothing, education, social support programs? Microwave ovens? Cell phones?

But I am glad we agree on one thing. They are invaders. Hopefully we do better than the Indians and repel the invaders.

They were not asylum seekers under international law, and weren't detained for long periods of time. We mustn't confuse immigrants with asylum seekers, nor confuse documented with undocumented immigrants. Our government doesn't provide the asylum seekers in detention with social support programs, cell phones or microwave ovens-- nor should it. Undocumented immigrants are ordinarily not legally provided with most of those things either, apart from a handful of basic necessities like emergency medical care. Cell phones? Microwave ovens? Where do you get such ideas?

People in detention, including asylum seekers, are ordinarily entitled to food, shelter, emergency medical care, and even toilet paper out of common decency and humanitarian concerns.
Thinking of asylum seekers as "invaders" whom we must repel is at odds with international law, not to mention any standard dictionary.
