Especially when he goes looking for it. This guy has been around for a while. His claims about Vietnam are suspect since all of the marine units were out of there in 1971. He claims he was there as a marine in 1972. He was also involved with the last major pipeline protest (where a literal mountain of garbage was left by all the "concerned" protesters.

True of the conflict, sure. But the Marines shipped out in 1971 leaving the Army and Navy to "finish". The drawdown was Nixon's idea which was referred to as "Vietnamizing the war". Basically handing the conflict back to the Vietnamese. It was a disaster of course.

 

Eh, countries leave their soldiers in war torn land for years after a war, without any knowledge I'm willing to bet my life that there was a marine in Vietnam after 1971.

Well then there's the part about the unit he claims to have been part of didn't exist. The dude is a grifter who seeks attention by instigating conflicts like this. And really, when is it cool for an adult to beat a drum in a child's face? This whole event was disgusting and the way the press and all those social media fools just dog piled this after seeing an obviously sliced and diced video makes me wonder what the hell they are smoking. I read the articles and saw the videos. The tribal guy is exempt. The kid knows that. Because one does not acknowledge his status does not nullify it. He has everything to stand up for.

 

Because his participation is appearing to be a little suspect in being a cause of confrontation, rather than someone who proclaims to be simply difussing the situation. He's trying to claim hero.

I watched several different angles of this event and the press got it all wrong, then all the trolls got it all wrong. BUT, the narrative SEEMED like it might take off, so they ran with it. Since the general assumption seems to be that all white Catholic boys are hard core racists with a noose in their backpack.

Really, at some point you have to recognize when something is absurd. And the claims of this "tribal elder" are entirely wrong. He lied, I heard him. And what was that shit about the white students harvesting the organs of their black classmate? Face it, a lot of racism was being expressed that day, toward a bunch of white kids on a field trip.

At some point disgusting has to come into the description of this.

The video shows him approaching. His statements made proclaiming the kids said build the wall, don't exist. His proclamation that the white kids appeared as though to be ready to attack the blacks, shows zero video evidence from what I saw
