That doesn't mean it didn't happen. That's the biggest trick the devil ever pulled off; convincing people he doesn't exist.

And so what if they didn't? Even if not, what's the rhetoric of that hat at this point? wtf else was he chanting? I've seen his demeanor as remorseful, but that doesn't excuse his blatant unchristian rhetoric. I saw him smile too. I know what he was trying to do with that, but I think it turned into something entirely different when he tried to stare down his elder.

I think that he could have done some things differently. And when he encountered the loud group, he could have left. I don't feel sorry.

    I can't excuse it. That's where I'm at.

Please show us where in the video you see this?

Obviously the video doesn’t capture everything. I think the reasonable perception is he made a judgement call as opposed to smearing his character.

Obviously he would be approaching after he heard the chant. You don’t know it didn’t happen, it’s what you want to believe so you’ll pretend this video has the full story.

I don’t know if it happened that way or not. And neither do you. But your partisanship has you believing what you like.

  6. I didn't figure you did, but you were still right. Like it or not, violence is VERY effective. Which is why it's being used so much these days.

The United States was founded on it.

I just think I know what it means when a kid with a group behind him stares down not just someone, but someone who is a member of a sovereign group of people. I'm guessing (and I know I'm just guessing) he didn't know what to do. And I think he should have walked away, but he probably wanted to represent or something. but ur right i don't know and can't prove anything. Nor do i want to.

But I don't think it should result in an expulsion. I think that the media attention has probably taught him his lesson. Expelling someone from school is pretty serious, and the kid obviously could have shoved somebody but he didn't.

You'd wanna disclaim that with a nod to nonviolence I'd think...

  10. It's still a teenager being held to an adult standard. Which is preposterous when you consider that basically all of the people attacking him are adults. It's quite disturbing and disgusting to see adults act like this toward children. Abusing kids isn't ok, it's just not. All that racist shit being spewed at them was pretty disgusting as well. But as I understand, it's not racist if the hate is directed at white people. After all, they "deserve" it. Right?

It's unpredictable though. It could result in the state taking away more rights. I'll also admit my first base reaction to seeing a bunch of violent assholes on the TV is wanting to see the police march in and beat the shit outta everybody. Of course I don't rationally want that, but there are far too many people on both the left and right who don't think rationally. Violence can get outta hand and who knows how it will end.

We can agree in this way.

    Thank you.

The first way to know if someone has their head up their own ass is when they pretend an opposing group has a monopoly on stupidity.

    Jesus
Everyone who existed ever has thought and done dumb shit and yet in every political thread people act condescending and like their shit don’t stink.

Feel free to view the entire hour plus video and find one instance of a chant of build that Wall.

Or will you argue it happened more than hour plus before this, and he just took his sweet time to interact?

And your loyalty to your party is showing.

Wasn't us. We don't care how red handed we got caught.

I said I didn’t know. And I said neither do you.

Which you don’t, despite pretending to the contrary.

I’ll repeat, clearly the chant would have occurred pre film. So asking me to point it out in the video is pretty asinine.

Yea, someone from the group of Native Americans said that they did do that. I think further investigation is warranted.

    So true

Many, myself included, are guilty of making a snap judgement in this particular incident based on their own preconceived biases. I was a little startled to see how quickly I judged without knowing the whole story when I figured out my initial judgement was wrong.

But this is something everyone is guilty of at some point in their lives. How many times have right leaning people written off a black guy as a "thug" despite evidence to the contrary, or believed an obviously edited video because it agreed with their own version of reality?

We could all benefit from a little reflection here
