Trump could try the ploy Oral Roberts used in the heat of the TV evangelist fad and claim that God will call him home if he doesn't get his wall money by the end of the month. Oral Roberts Vigil Ends In New Plea for Funds AP APRIL 1, 1987 Oral Roberts Vigil Ends In New Plea for Funds excerpt: "The evangelist Oral Roberts, who had said God told him he would die unless he raised $8 million by the end of March, wound up a 10-day prayer vigil today with a final entreaty to followers to send money."
A homeless man in New York City tried to use a fake $20 bill to buy food and toothpaste. He got caught. At first he got sent up to eight years, but the appeals court cut it down to three up to six years. Compare that to what Trump's pals are getting. How long should Flynn and Manafort get for their much more serious crimes? What about Donny Jr? What about Cohen and the millions he avoided in taxes?
Contention points about work requirements for medicaid demonstration waivers cited by the Kaiser Family Foundation Medicaid and Work Requirements: New Guidance, State Waiver Details and Key Issues MaryBeth Musumeci, Rachel Garfield, and Robin Rudowitz Published: Jan 16, 2018 Medicaid and Work Requirements: New Guidance, State Waiver Details and Key Issues excerpt: Most nonelderly Medicaid adults already are working or face significant barriers to work, leaving a very small share of adults to whom these policies are directed. It is not clear whether tying eligibility to work promotes health. Working at minimum wage could make some people financially ineligible for Medicaid in states with low eligibility levels for adults. Work requirements have implications for all populations covered under these demonstrations. Because of complex documentation and administrative processes, some eligible individuals could lose coverage. Increased documentation requirements shift Medicaid from a health insurance program for low-income families back to one that operates under welfare rules. Administrative challenges and costs of complex waiver provisions, like work requirements, make waiver implementation complicated. The CMS guidance is explicit that states will be required to describe strategies to assist beneficiaries in meeting work requirements but may not use federal Medicaid funds for supportive services to help people overcome barriers to work. There are questions about the public input process and budget neutrality calculations in work requirement waivers. Robust independent evaluations, including the impact of these demonstrations on people who lose coverage for which they remain eligible, will be an important area to watch.
That was a Mike Pence scam to push millions off Medicaid. The Freedom Caucus Republicans want to destroy Social Security and Medicare. They have already damaged most government agencies, by way of the Trump Administration. They got everything figured out except the elections 20 months from now..
why do trump supporters want a wall to protect them? I thought they were all gun owners, and could protect themselves. Maybe they're not very good shooters, and their guns are only for show.
They're scared. Scared of foreigners, scared of anyone who's different, they're afraid of change, of anyone who doesn't agree that their god is the best, and they believe everyone is out to get them. Paranoia strikes deep, so sad. There's something happening here But what it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware
A Bruised Trump Faces Uncertain 2020 Prospects. His Team Fears a Primary Fight. By Alexander Burns, Jonathan Martin and Maggie Haberman Jan. 26, 2019 A Bruised Trump Faces Uncertain 2020 Prospects. His Team Fears a Primary Fight. excerpts: "In a sign of the White House’s determination to project party unity, a top Trump campaign official, Bill Stepien, traveled to the Republican National Committee meeting in New Mexico this week to orchestrate an ornamental resolution of support for the president. It passed unanimously on Friday afternoon, hailing Mr. Trump for his “effective presidency” even as his shutdown strategy collapsed. Mr. Winston said polling data suggested the border wall had been a problematic fight to pick. “Immigration is an important issue,’’ he said, “but people are waking up every day trying to figure out how they’re going to pay a set of bills in front of them.” For now, Mr. Trump remains wholly focused on appeasing his conservative base, comprising perhaps a third of the electorate, despite private G.O.P. polling suggesting that his agenda on immigration has failed to move the country in his favor, Republicans who work closely with the president said."
Jeff Kent who is the Republican party committeeman from Washington State said Trump's name wrong while promoting him at a loyalist-themed event. A Bruised Trump Faces Uncertain 2020 Prospects. His Team Fears a Primary Fight. “To the press in the back of the room,” said Mr. Kent, his voice rising, “please go tell the world we will always proudly wear this hat and we will always proudly support our great president, Donald A. Trump.” (The president’s middle initial is “J.”)
Trump has fostered an atmosphere of cultural division to benefit himself personally. It emboldens behavior like the one in the following article where a retail manager refused to honor a coupon presented by an African-American woman CVS Fires 2 for Calling Police on Black Woman Over Coupon By Matt Stevens July 16, 2018 CVS Fires 2 for Calling Police on Black Woman Over Coupon excerpt: "The episode is among the latest in a string of well-documented encounters captured on video in which a white person calls the police on a black person for what are, at the most, ordinary misunderstandings of daily life. They have drawn anger and public shaming on social media and multiple articles in national news reports."
If you think The American Voters will re-elect Trump, I've got some nice off grid land for sale...125 miles southwest of Karbala, Iraq.
I was thinking they were afraid of the Mexican guys with the big weenies...you know...they would go for the White Wimmins!
I think he is an honest man. I just think he didn't think it all the way through. He elected to make a public statement about an open investigation of Hillary Clinton three weeks before elections. She had 3 million more votes. The difference was less than 45000 votes in Wisconsin and less than 22000 votes in Michigan and the electoral college went to Trump. He cost her the election and declared her innocent too late. Nevertheless, now there are articles questioning why so many Trump lieutenants have lied about this that or the other thing? His entire legacy is lies...lies to the American people. Another article two days ago indicated Trump's lieutenants had over 100 contacts with Russians before the inauguration. The truth will be made available to the American people to see real soon. I also doubt the Republican Party can get over this any time soon.
Uh-oh...The Democrats are getting nervous about this. If Howard Schultz runs it could hand the presidency right back to Trump. So yeah, the American people could easily reelect Trump. I mean, they elected him once already. Better nominate someone who appeals to the center. Democrats uneasy about potential Howard Schultz bid
Hillary appealed to center and she lost And when people say nominate someone who appeals to center, they really mean nominate a billionaire right leaning neo liberal who appeals to republicans. Which is a losing strategy. Republicans win elections by appealing to Republicans and Democrats have been losing elections by trying to appeal to Republicans. And as far as Howard Schultz, oh look, another right leaning billionaire pretending to be a liberal. Because we dont have enough of those.
