If God loves us unconditionally, why does he kill us instead of curing us?

The first human couple decided to eat some fruit off of a particular tree that wasn't meant for them. So, obviously, in order to set things straight God had to send his son to Earth to be executed (paying the price for 'our' sins) and even then we have to love God back or suffer the consequences of eternal torture. Makes sense.

I hate raw apples, they bring me out in a rash.
God gave us the answer by giving us fire to cook the apples, but instead we put the fire into guns and started shooting each other.
He must think that he has created a real bunch of idiots. :worried::worried::worried:

That religionists and Christians, as you demonstrate, do not care about the harm the religions do as they support immoral creeds. Theists are not acting the way the bible and good morals say they should.

    You not caring is evident.

Indeed and a really mean streak.

Let his followers know as that would be you doing unto the victims they create with their homophobic ands misogynous teachings.

    He would be partially correct.

A few of us break the pattern.

Actually, a lot more of us than you think as it looks like the majority of theists are no longer supporting the religions as they are shrinking nicely.

We who can think have to keep that momentum going though.

Can you think though? I'm still awaiting clarification on another thread viz the way in which the Cathars of the 13th century understood reincarnation. I posed the question twice, but I notice that for all the negative rhetoric you are not so hot when it comes to giving your own view, other than some nonsense about being God yourself.

How's that cult of yours doing? A shadow of its former self, I understand. So many members caught on.

That's really curious. I've also asked him so many questions about it, but silence. I think there are two possible explanations. Its teachings are so ridiculous he knows if he explained them he'd be laughed off HF; or he doesn't know much, other than the self-hypnotic mantras he repeats and repeats.

If he doesn't respond there its fair to consider him a troll falsely posing as a gnostic evangelist in order to annoy other christians.

I thought I was clear in stating that in Gnostic Christianity, since we like to stick to what can be known and not what cannot be known, like anything of the supernatural, that we hold no supernatural beliefs as that would create a more matrix like universe where you could have a never ending layering of Gods. Think fractals and how Gnostic Christian themes in movies mostly show overlaying dimensions as with the movie The Matrix.

I think you guys have nailed it there.

I was somewhat surprised when I checked I am's profile, and it says he's 68 - I'd assumed a somewhat petulant 19 year old. To have lived so long and learned so little......

We are indeed a shadow of our former self, thanks to the Christian religion that used inquisitions on us.

Why do you support the murderers instead of the innocent victims?

Bullshit pure and simple, as anyone who has actually read any of the gnostic texts can affirm.

I always try to respond but people have their own biases and what I say falls on dead ears.

They are trying to make us into a supernatural believing religion when we do not hold any supernatural beliefs.

We do not allow our minds to go into intellectual dissonance with supernaturalstupid beliefs nor into moral dissonance by idol worshiping a genocidal satanic God.

Our myths are not our beliefs.

What particular text are you thinking of.

Quote it and I might be able to educate you.

I believe that one day we will find a logical scientific explanation for reincarnation and I often wonder if the explanations partly lie in our dreams.
Little is known about the information stored in our DNA, but we do know that it is inherited.
When we are asleep and the everyday functions of our brain can decline, deeper parts of the brain that we have no understanding of seem to activate.
I always wonder if these hold memory of inherited information, they always seem to fall back into the past in some respect.
My dreams are always set in the UK, where all my ancestry originates. Recently, I am attempting to use my knowledge or architecture to locate the places and look for any geographical links to my ancestors.
The problem is that dreams fade so fast when I wake up. I seem to have a fear in my dreams of being attacked from behind. Again I wonder if their are any connections there to the demise of any of my ancestors. The problem is, that many of them died in 2 world wars, so finding the exact circumstances would be impossible.
