I swept my first chimney today

Now I can breath in my cabin without the fireplace hot boxing the whole living room with carbon monoxide

 

I'm surprised being a chimney sweep isn't my career.

 

So far so good.

Just after 9am we are in, we're looking good, I'm waiting for the drinks to open. guy we are with, early 30s, shoulder length blonde hair, 6'5, slim walked in like a king with both of us on each arm.

 

Just about to head out of the office. No Michael Scott shenanigans today.

 

different countries do have the option. personally i wish none of them had ever started it.
just another stupid human tricks. just so managers and supervisors don't have to tell their employees to come in an hour earlier or later, they make everyone else have to run on an hour's different number on the clock, which really changes nothing but inconveniences everyone.

i grew up on the railroad where we kept standard time year round. and now that so much retailing has moved from brick and mortar to the web, its even sillier.

This rain may drive me mad one day.

 

What is really driving me mad is...its rained all weekend. Tomorrow when i'm at work its going to be sunny and 70. Then rain for days. Then next weekend i'm going to the coast to visit my sister. It will be sunny here..but..rainy where she lives

The fire that hubby built last night was gorgeous.

We haven't had a fire since Halloween.

Emma even stayed with me. Normally, she doesn't sit at the fire but last night she did.
