What's Happening???

I had such a fun and busy day yesterday.

Today is snowing/sleeting/raining and cold. It will be a nice day to bake and relax and clean.

My favorite kind of weekend involves a balance of a day of lots of activity and a day of nothing at all.

Yesterday, the triplets played their first tournament with the new team.

After being at the ballpark for 17 hours, they walked away the undefeated champions last night.

Damn, its still snowing over there? I woke up with the sounds of spring birds. Although its chilly and windy here too last few days.

Same here. Feels so good having a whole day for leisure :-D

 

Whatcha baking?


I was going to bake today but my first attempt at making wild yeast for sourdough bread failed miserably, i discovered a layer of mold on my starter yesterday

So today I shall begin anew!

 

The triplets are still so little. I guess they always will be.

Yeah, we get snow in March from time to time. Yesterday was like 50f/10c and perfectly sunny. Today is one of those gray days that start off as snow and turn to rain as it warms up.

Nothing officially. I just think it would be a nice day to bake. Or some other cozy activity.

Oh, everyone seems to be talking about sourdough starters lately! Why is that? Is there something more to sourdough than just bread--health benefits or something?

 

My grandson took a year off, went back with a new team, and was placed at pitcher.

I've got to talk to his mom to see how his day went yesterday.

 

Yeah, march is known to have these conditions here too. I don't think it will snow anymore though, and if it will be below freezing point only at night/early mornings.
We already had a few rare days where it was around 15C in the afternoon (which after winter always seems great t shirt weather )

 

Are they identical triplets? I guess I didn't realize that until now.

 

It is essentially a fermented food so carries the same beneficial bacteria as kimchi, yogurt, etc

And also the fermentation process neutralizes phytic acid, which is an anti nutrient found in bread - it prevents your bones from absorbing minerals

But I dont really care about all that lol, i just love the taste of sourdough

 

The one on the right end is a singleton. The two to her right are twins.

 

Making coffee, and going to watch a cooking show.

 

Dayyum. I'm glad we are in the members suites because it's cold out there, though I'm pretty toasted. I've lost all my allotted betting money too I ain't won anything today except for a lousy 3rd place which won back little to nothing but on the other hand I haven't paid for anything so it's probably still worth it considering the ticket prices to our suites were 250€. Even the horse that liked me sucked. Bloody hopeless I thought I was the horse whisperer or something. We had a good bonding moment I really thought he'd pull through for me... He's still running. it was 4 hrs ago but he's still has not finished.

At least it's an experience.

I've never been to a horse race.
