I stopped watching the news several years ago. It's the worst kind of brainwash imaginable.

 

I'm trying to make a more concerted effort to seek out good investigative journalists who are committed to their craft and in pursuit of the truth, and follow their articles wherever they're published (or documentaries wherever they're aired), rather than just reading certain outlets as a whole.

I dont think mainstream media outlets lie (there are laws preventing them from doing so, as well as ethical standards within each organization), but they do present a very curated version of the news in a carefully narrated way. It can be difficult to find good examples of investigative journalism at CNN, MSNBC, etc ..and Fox, obviously

Lately i've been getting really into Ben Amderson's documentaries on Vice. He's a war journalist so if you've ever bemoaned the media's lack of coverage of foreign affairs, particularly in the middle east, Ben Anderson is your man

I'm just joining in the general conversation by the way, I dont think any of the media outlets lied about the Mueller report. Mueller spent two years investigating whether or not there was Russian collusion and the media reported on it, they didnt actually say there was collusion, they simply reported on the investigation. But I do have many complaints about the modern day news cycle in general

Any good journalist would fact-check their material via investigation before taking the story and running wild with it.

It started as a fabricated distraction to take people's attention away from Wasserman-Shultz, and the rigging of the primaries, and mutated into a feeble conspiracy theory divide the country.

Let's face it, they placed all their eggs in one basket with this Russia hoax. Their credibility has been reduced to broken eggshells.

Can you name one that is "left" I doubt you can. I've been an avid conspiracy theorist for years. I assure it's not a world of Democrats. It's a world where everything is evil but your family and your AR-15. Nothing else is allowed to have authority over you especially the big government and tax Demarcates often like. What matters in this world is guns, Jesus, and no goverment other then a local town mayor YOU personally pick and you always have the Ar-15 if he gets frisky.

The evidence here does not make a "conspiracy" it makes a criminal case. You sound like a hate filled Republican misusing what a "mental illness" is. A psychologist does not necessarily have a place in this.

 

Sure..."Trump colluded with Russia." The left has been trying to push that conspiracy theory for over three years now. But oh wait...that's "not a conspiracy theory." Or "We haven't been saying that." So full of it.

Also, that's just not true. Plenty on the left believe in one conspiracy theory or another. How about JFK? Nobody on the left believes there was a conspiracy to assassinate him?

There are journalists, and there are investigative journalists. Two different things. A journalist might be a glorified news reporter.
An example of this is your local tv news anchors. How many of them actually have a degree in journalism?

 

I'm just wondering if one cares about objective brought news by investigating journalists why their fav news source is the alt right media.

 

Trump and the Republicans are attacking Adam Schiff hard now. Nancy Pelosi just said they are afraid of Adam Schiff. It sounds like Adam is going after Trump hard now. He must have found some stuff in the evidence. The Democrats are not going to drop the ball on the Mueller report. Trump and Barr don't want anyone to see the original report because they know it will prove Trump committed crimes. McConnel blocked release of the report because he knows Trump will end up in prison.
