What's Happening???

These are my sets. Snooker on top, casino competition balls on the left and bigs/smalls on the right. I'm just about to take my casino balls inside to polish them, I can hear them dragging as they roll which means they are picking up friction as they roll. Friction = drag = inaccuracy.

Its all science.

Pool = maths and science. Well I'm not sure about maths, but angles are maths yeah? So maths and science. So much science comes down into making a full length shot, you gotta understand the graded felt you're playing on and how that felt distributes friction on the balls as they roll.

I have bad internet in my girl den so, taking a while to upload my balls.

So the plan is tomorrow do several short practices then I'm in the truck and headed to Munich for Saturday night trials. Getting pretty nervous now, my lead up to this event has not been a good one. I have not done the practice I needed and I have also not been in the right head space that I needed either. So it will be a big battle but we'll see. I could surprise like the state championships a month ago. At least there's a week break between rounds this time but that just means if I make it through then I have to keep going into the city on weekends.

 

I think execution. Even though snooker is strategic, you're really only playing ball by ball, sink a red, make sure you get in line for a color. Sink that color get in line for a red and so on, Wheras 8 Ball a bit different you gotta think, I feel, a bit more about where you're going to be in the end which is something I haven't understood yet is at the start of the match you are meant to work backwards. Find the hole you want the black to go in then work out your sequence backwards. Well I just start potting balls. it's one thing I really need to get.my head around..

But the guys in snooker at the moment it's just their execution, they're missing really simple shots. I've been watching snooker for 10 years and this is by far the worst I've ever seen. Just so much pressure I think.

Into semi finals now best of 33 games, it's like a 2-3 match. You can tell they're getting frustrated and beating themselves up. They look to heavens and swear and roll eyes.

 

The word soda is in dutch strongly associated with soda to clean with or baking soda. So when americans use it to describe a sweet beverage it still doesn't really compute at first instance

 

I thiught because when you mix the baking soda it FIZZES when then gets referred to as the soda pop, and also why I call it the FIZZY drink.

In Australia, it is called "soft drink"

Irms! What big balls you have," said Little Peteasarus as he edged closer to the pool table.

"But Irms! What pretty color balls your have," said Little Peteasarus

"The better to see them, my dear," replied the Irms.

"But Irmeeeeeee! Look how many balls you have," said Little Peteasarus his voice quivering slightly.

"The better to throw at you and knock your Ass out, my dear," roared Irminsul and she threw her balls one after another and eventually knocked out Little Peteasarus and skinned off his dragon pelt.

Moral of the story.....

Dont fuck with Irmeeeeeee's balls!!

 

Going the Airport in 6 hours Late/early Flight ! its raining and Miserable here this evening , the resort we are staying at is called Caleta de fuste ! not been there for about thirty years wonder if its changed ? (as usual I will put a few Pictures on here for anyone that's Interested )

Just glad to be off work. I have no plans at all and that suits me just fine

Work on that mockup and watch basketball playoffs. I might find some time to go walk a trail or something outdoors too.

 

Eww acdc. well that's just a turn off.

I'm waiting to hear back on how my team did in their trials. I'm not too sure if good news or not as not heard nothing. For some reason trials never go onto poolstat live scoring like other events it's still on paper until finalised.

I dunno what peoples ear drums look like or why everybody likes different genres of music.... But I can't stand acdc. Even their most popular hits give me the heebeegeebees, nails on a chalk board if you ask me.

 

I have been dragging ass for the past few weeks--I've had to push myself to engage in my daily routine, really dragging through everything I have to do. My mood has been fine, but I feel like I am in a bit of a haze, and I am getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Normally, I have seemingly endless energy. I'm starting to get a bit worried since it has been about 2 weeks of this.
