  1. There's still the vacation home and the corporate jet. He had the Clintons dead in the rights and backed off, for a price.

  2. You got me there, it's the part of the Clinton equation I overlooked. At that point Bernie was probably aware that Trump was taking it. So he grabbed what he could.

Insisting Bernie took a bribe and that makes him unfit for office is like saying the majority of Americans are unfit to vote. Its fucking illegal to vote for Mickey Mouse, get over it already. Stop waiting for Clowns on reality TV to say anything meaningful and learn how to ignore what you know damned well is worth ignoring.

What was the bribe? Do we know who "bribed" him, and what he did for it? Are we talking about that Vermont lake home he purchased as a vacation home, supposedly from money his wife inherited? Is there any hard evidence that was a bribe? There have also been allegations that he paid his wife and daughter substantially out of campaign funds for the campaign services they provided. If there were any irregularities there, I'm sure we'll hear about them during the campaign.

  5. There's a better chance it was a bribe handed to Bernie to shut up than it is for Trump to be an actual Russian Agent Nazi. So, there's that.

The corporate jet was used when he was a surrogate for Hillary's campaign, it would have been financed with campaign money

The vacation home was bought using funds from the sale of a vacation home his wife inherited. And it was 600k which I dont think is particularly exorbitant.

It's not really very accurate to characterize Bernie Sanders as that. When we refer to rich old white males I know what we're talking about, and he isn't it. It's about the status quo/standard procedure of getting funding from any source without thinking about what that may mean to your electorate. Bernie doesn't do that six, you know this.

His money came from his books, didn't it?

  11. How would people even handle a Bernie Sanders presidency? The implication, I suppose, would be that we're supposed to be kind to one another and care about each other. hahahaha

I don't think Americans even know what kinship is any more. A nation of kinder, gentler back stabbings, I guess.

  12. Way to live up to the stereotype. You're also never wrong, right?

  13. Yep, it looks good on paper. As one would expect. Bernie isn't stupid.

A single presidential election now costs a billion dollars and both parties represent nothing more than entrenched wealth even if the democrats tolerate a few utopian idiots among their ranks. Republicans do the same, because its a big party, but in no way shape or form can Bernie Sanders or any other left leaning politician be taken seriously when the American public keeps voting for whoever advertises the most. Leftist politics on sale now, at your friendly neighborhood Walmart. One leftist politician promised all his constituents Gameboys and crap like that, mocking the entire system, because his vote amounts to zero, zilch, nada, and spouting smack is all he can do. Italy elected a porn star to office twice, but Bernie is more acceptable to republicans.

I feel like it has something to do with education. Maybe the electorate are under-educated on the issues. Because isn't the curriculum in college sort of geared toward and not away from democratic socialism/social programming that we see in Europe/Scandinavia? I think so. But I want to win! :(

  17. Every generation going through our politicized public schools is coming out less and less politically savvy and more politically biased. This is not organic political development in children, it's programming. And it's failing because it's too short sighted. Like it or not, kids eventually ask "Why?" and the answer has to be more than "because" I/the book/the school system "say so".

Kids who ask too many inconvenient questions are marked and tracked. Others are outed or doxx'd for thinking outside of the box. That's where we are right now. And it's spreading like cancer. Someday your bank account will be frozen because of a tweet you shared about Dung Beetles (they're all republicans).

I think though that the stuff in books has to be trusted. If it's not from a vetted source, most schools won't go near it. This stuff is being published. It undergoes a certain amount of scrutiny before it makes it to the shelf or the textbook warehouse (lol, wherever textbooks come from).

I have been studying sociology. Most recently sociology of gender, but also social problems, and racial & ethnic group relations. Especially from social problems, the solutions are obviously toward solving problems. Not just convenient problems, but the problems that we often turn a blind eye to.

Anyway, the books aren't lying, man. But maybe that's not what you're saying.

But what I wanted to say was you mention kids. I don't know what's being taught in schools at the elementary level, but I would assume that it's mostly benign stuff having little to do with what we talk about on this board. It's probably primary English and stuff. :)

Very poignantly worded! :) I like this education idea!

lol, wtf is Biden doing on education. :D
