In the US all the reporters are merely talking heads reading off the same teleprompter verbatim. Conan Obrien does a regular comedy routine, where his staff records hundreds of them all struggling to use the same inflection. Investigative reporting can't make money when Wall Street and the government are as crooked as a three dollar bill and nobody gives a crap. If Fox News did not exist, we would have to invent it. In ancient Rome you were guaranteed one meal a day and access to the games. Fox News is legally entertainment.

We tell the rest of the world what to believe, and pay half the bills for NATO and the UN. Of course, if the EU starts spouting too much smack, we can always withdraw from NATO and see what the middle east does with them. You have to be a big professional wrestling fan to keep up with all smack and bullshit. The Pentagon alone spends more money in a year than most countries make and our military is equal to the next six to sixteen largest combined. China put a dent in it, by building a new navy to defend their shores should all hell break lose, but the idea the Chinese are going to take over the world is straight out of comic books, now on sale at Walmart.

However, the Chinese did give the NSA a run for their money, teaching them interesting new ways to steal data. Sometimes, they will even encourage such silliness, knowing they can put a stop to it at any point. Some have even suggested that Reagan allowed the KGB access to all our weapons technology, just to show them they don't stand a ghost of a chance. The US is anywhere from twenty years to a century ahead of the competition in every way imaginable. We do that, because even something stupid someone cooks up in their kitchen could suddenly turn the tables.

I've had so much fun the last two weekends, I just can't deal with the weekdays anymore.

 

Neighbors who always have a contractor doing work at their house even though the house is fine the way it is.

Maybe they needed a new one because the old one might of been falling to bits on them.

It might be noisy but hearing my front and back neighbours cough all the time and cough to the point of throwing up is a little concerning.

 

This isn’t about my neighbors, it’s about an unresolved issue between Glen and myself because two years ago I called him uncivilized and uncouth
for using a clothes line instead of a dryer and he’s still pissed.
