Its empire baby, and American troops are around the world. Especially some of the hotter spots, like Africa. Seals might even be stationed to keep tabs on any drug cartels and execute them on the spot if necessary. I don't know about this particular case, but one vehicle does not an battalion make.

Apparently several hundred Green berets went in in 2013 to train Niger troops and operate drone bases in support of French efforts to combat Islamic jihadis in northern Mali. There are also U.S. troops in Burkina Faso and Cameroon doing the same thing.

Although the US pays half the bills for the UN, they try to maintain distinctive roles. The UN's job is as peace keepers, and if enough of them get shot they retreat. Training locals in anti-terrorism tactics is not in their interest.

Donald Duck makes Tricky Dick look tame, while if Libertarians get anymore off the wall Disney will have to sue for copyright infringements. Seriously, you don't hear them bragging now about Big Bird being an evil commie plot, because the idiots have just enough sense to shut their fucking mouths the minute they know they are winning. The question remains whether they will decide to have a roast Duck dinner. Loyalty among Libertarians means whoever cuts them the lowest taxes. They're a cheap political date.

Heavens to Mergatroide! Can't have that! It's gettin' as bad as those Whitewater and Benghazi hearings the Republicans had such an insatiable appetite for back in the day. All those tax payers dollars down the drain with nothin' to show for it! But you ain't seen nothin' yet.Trump is a real crook. Lock him up!

No, and Goofy had nothing to do with this either. Donald Duck is the proverbial loose cannon on deck, and is used to shooting himself in the foot, on broadcast TV or anywhere else, because Libertarians are so stupid they even made it illegal to vote for Mickey Mouse, of course, in the name of freedom and democracy, while insisting voting for whoever advertises the most is our patriotic duty.

I think they mighty have set up a base there to work with local forces. It sounds like one of the "police actions" more than war … in earnest?

Think Roman empire. If its cheap enough and politically viable, we send in a predator drone and destroy mud huts. Its quick, its clean, and its over in a second without mom crying about losing her son, but its expensive. They are bringing down the prices as we speak, and you can buy an 800mph stealth cruise missile from South African for about half a million dollars, but that's a cheap imitation. A forty thousand dollar one is about as cheap as they get. The Pentagon is now working on next gen warfare including things like bat drones that are cheap, can recognize someone in a crowd just by the way they walk, and can follow you to the ends of the earth without supervision, only to record the expression on your face when they blow up.

That kind of technology is what they call "an attention getter". Use it just a few times, and people get the message. Already they have the complete mathematics describing animal and human motion, and the Pentagon has been working on making them silent. They are also interested in microbots they can shoot into the air by the hundreds, that float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. The bat, snakes, and stingray models are the most realistic so far. Some snakes can travel superfast. Small tablet sized devices with four wheels can already jump through second story windows, and those are just some of the more widely known robots.

No point. The Pentagon already has the first gigapixel cameras in orbit, and is preparing for WWIII when all this technology takes on a life of its own. Its not a coincidence that WWII happened after the invention of quantum mechanics. All the technology we have today is based on WWII research, well, most of it. Now we are moving beyond traditional quantum mechanics with the technology, despite our not having a theory to explain how it works. It just took that long to make measuring and other tools cheap enough and portable. Already it is estimated that macroscopic quantum effects can possibly cover a small room sized area of about 12 feet, but the tools to measure such things have been nonexistent until now.

They are going down the rabbit hole, in their traditional military-industrial complex fashion, and some of them have been aware of the situation for half a century. They may be dumb rednecks and Yankees, but they know when the Big Picture consistently says everyone talking to them is full of crap, and our universe is magical. Its their anal retentive bureaucratic mindset, that demands numbers for everything, but also tries to look at the Big Picture.

That kind of research is not available to the fucking FBI X-Files, and there is so much misinformation going around its hard to say what they know, but there can be little doubt they know our universe is somehow ultimately magical. As bizarre as that no doubt might sound, the Chinese government forbid the use of time travel as a plot device in their mass media. The shit is progressively hitting the fan and its driving the Pentagon to die faster from alcoholism. Karma's a bitch and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

we still seem to be divided between:

    1. those who want to kill each other and those who want to save each other

    2. those who want to amass wealth and those who want to share wealth

    3. those who always consider those much poorer or with a different religion and those who don't???

Some 40% of all Wall Street trades are already done by computers, and the computers are robots are turning out to be better than people at countless things, including getting alone with people and helping them to get along with each other. It is the singularity, the turning point, or recursion where humanity has no choice anymore, because mother nature is taking over. She will piss a lot of people off, but they cannot stop her and the meek will inevitably inherit the earth.

interesting account WH - machines becoming more considerate and caring than humans - but will they then be manipulated to stop this "unfair" game of chance??

Unbeknownst to virtually anyone, all of our technology is ultimately based on the same magic that runs the entire universe. Call it magic, or particle-wave duality if you prefer, but the easiest way to think about it is that time flows backwards as information, while energy flows forward. Our technology since Newton has only grown more vague and inexplicable along with our mathematics and physics, in a rather steady progression that is now building up to the turning point, where the collective unconscious will impose strict karmic rules on how it can be used. The AI they are working on is merely the technological aspect of the recursion or turning point, but is a more physical manifestation people can grasp easier.

Anywho, the technology for AI, the human brain, quantum computing, etc. is all analog technology that is actually self-organizing. Our technology will literally take on a life of its own and we will be swept along. That's the mathematics I work on, how to make technology outrageously self-organizing and alive basically. Capable of dimension squeezing in technical terms, exchanging space and time, energy and information. Building your own home singularity should cost around $1,500.oo once the computers spit out the complete mathematics, but how powerful it will be I don't know, because an advanced one should be able to use quantum circuitry and entangle the operator and machine. Weird stuff, that even I don't care to think about too much, because its alive and will be full of surprises. Its basically the collective unconscious manifesting in different ways that, again, are too weird to even dwell upon.

The collective unconscious can be thought of as representing the 8 dimensions and a singularity of quantum mechanics, but they are real, they are you and me and everything that exists. They simply manifest in different ways under different circumstances, but always express self-organizing behavior. This is along the same lines as Frijoff Capra's work.
