A friend of mine does catering and just dropped off lunch for a different department at my work and left some treats for me with the receptionist as well

Made my day. It's the little things in life

 

Yesterday I had a little thing too.
I walk into the studio for my 4pm dance lessons and the owner gives me a card.
Inside she wrote a nice message of appreciation and admiration for my new dance passion.
We hugged it out after I read it quietly in front of her.
Very sweet to receive.

 

The thing is (and don't hit me ) you don't always take this same kind of behavior from fellow forummers the same way. I know because im also naturally doing this kind of social 'flirting'. Of course at other times its accompanied with a serious undertone as well but a lot of times its just having fun with the other person s shared thought or assertion.

 

I think I'm sometimes taken more seriously than I intend
I can be a bit dry so I get it. Same in real life, people either give me a lot of blank stares or they think I'm hilarious, there's no in between

 

I missed some of the first half of the NBA Finals yesterday and found out this morning Raptors fans were initially elated when Kevin Durant of the Warriors went down with an injury.

Those Canadians must really not like that stereotype of being pleasant, nice people.

 

Yeah but the thing is I know my ways annoy people. People always see me posting fun and stuff and little sneer comments every now and again. People put in little sneer comments to try and bring me down I get it often enough. Post a bra, some fuckwit can't let you have some fun needs to personally put you down over it, so I know how some of the cunts in this site are like. So, no. I won't take it as a joke sometimes because people here can be shallow bitchy assholes as if they've nothing better to do in life than sign into here and start taking their frustrations out on everyone else to make them feel better and I know that's how some of em work.

So when I see those sneery ass fuckwits say sneering ass things, it's not a joke to me. They're 100% trying to get under specific people's skin and I'm gonna call that shit out because fuck them. Nobody gonna run my day off course except me.

And believe me I still bite my tongue. Nobody has yet to hear me really speak my mind. Y'all aren't ready for this.

And I'm really sick of seeing folks get torn up over an opinion or for the way they think and what they think. Man, some people just don't get it. Half the shit is fucken dumb too, like most opinions just come down to PERSONAL preference I mean you can't argue that shit you are who you are.

 

One can't help but listen, somewhat. I mean, you are aware of what was said. You have to reason to yourself whether or not it has any merit. I already knew I wasn't the greatest at guitar, though. I wasn't trying to be, either, though, so the comment about how horrible I am at guitar didn't bother me that badly. I'm not horrible, anyway. I just don't follow the rules, and I'm not trying to play anything super complicated. My songs are just songs, mostly for me, because it's fun to sing and play. It's pretend, basically.

And all I said was, "I hope the Raptors win. I don't care that they're Canadian." Why it had to turn into somebody trying to make me feel worthless, I have no idea. But, also, I understand. Sometimes you get too into something and someone's innocuous comment might seem to also be more of a personal attack than its really intended. I'm into the Celtics, personally. I don't have much invested in this sports game, and I just kind of want the Raptors to win, since I'm tired of the Warriors winning. And it wouldn't trouble me at all for Canada to have their moment in the sun. It will bring our two countries closer. You can't just have one country dominating another all the time and expect to be friends. I'd rather be friends.

So, I just think that he who shall not be named was probably too hyped up about refs calls and what not and took it out on me, who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Given how alone I feel as it is...it's not the specifics of the comment I take to heart...it's just the meanness and the bullying which is the last thing I need.

Callousness just bothers me anyway. I'm no fan of people who lack empathy, or of bullies. And I'll stick up for myself. In real life and on ye internet. I don't have any patience for that sort of thing. If you want some, you got some right here.

 

I just want yinz know that y'all fight in the middle of the night and we're out on the town and don't expect us to break up your arguments cuz sometimes it just looks like your kind Heartedly picking on each other.

That's true too, the part where you're really into something so you take a comment the wrong way. I'm guilty of that. But I think it's more like... Well you say you don't like people who such and such and I just said I such and such and we meant to be friends? So you do have to kind of take a little offense to that because they are still speaking of you but in a broader manner, a whole rather than as the individual.

I dunno man, anyone that works in an environment of 10-15 people, those people aren't the same and you know and recognise this, you get along, you even befriend them maybe outside of work and inside. You get along with all the petty differences. But shut the door and light the internet up people wind themselves up and then attack people just like their work friends. Why don't you say that to their faces? Motherfucker.

I just hate this culture of there's only one way of thinking, politics, religion and life. It is the opposite of what the word culture means to me. It's pez. I didn't think I'd ever really get sub cultures of people but I really do, I love the randomness and the weirdness of people, whatever they're into. It's hard to express yourself freely like this in real life the internet is a good outlet for it and lots weirdos tend to flock to forums.

I don't think anybody is necessarily bad or wrong for what they believe. Whether deep down I think they're lost, damaged, brainwashed or manipulated doesn't matter. It's not my journey, it's theirs. I'm not going to take anything away from them.

He was really smart, like with the whole money laundering thing, it takes some brains to come up with a complex money laundering scheme. But he just squandered every advantage and opportunity he's ever had and did something stupid instead..like money laundering lol. so it didnt really surprise me
