So does injecting Heroin... I can see how you can draw parallels, especially since they are both dealing with reproduction but it's a spurious comparison.
I don't think people should spend the rest of their lives in prison for doing heroin either. And how is being addicted to a drug that can kill you anything close to a safe procedure that women have a right to. Or a safe procedure like vasectomies that men have a right to.
Woah where did addiction come from? I brought up Heroin to suggest not all issues surrounding bodily autonomy are the same. Isn't the crux of the pro-life argument that in an abortion, you are killing life?
I know a man who couldn't get his vasectomy reversed no matter how hard the doctors tried. There are plenty more out there just like him. Your comparison doesn't make any sense because passing insanely strict abortion laws and telling crude and sexist jokes have nothing in common. Unless I'm missing something here. I'm pointing out that if she were to make a similar joke about anyone else, she'd be harassed by the woke left. But since her joke was directed toward men, she gets a pass because it doesn't break the double standards of political correctness. Somehow you equated all this to abortion laws. Think of it this way: those states are becoming "sanctuary cities" for the unborn. LOL
I'm confused. Are we talking about the same thing I'm talking about the woman who said men should get castrated to prevent abortion - she wasn't even being subtle in her reference to regressive abortion laws? It really doesn't matter let's move on
Hi AB.....I See That This Is Your First Post Here In Hip Forums.......Please Allow Me To Gift You The Pleasure Of A Warm Hip Forums Welcome.......Please Enjoy....... Cheers Glen.
Hahahaha The scary part is that the left would alter the Spanish language if they could. It wouldn’t surprise me if that soon became one of their goals.
How did you leap to that conclusion? Do you really think the individual who posted this is "the left", or that Mika's stupid opinion is somehow representative of all people in a certain political category? That's just your favorite fallacy, hasty generalization, at work again. Get a life!
"Get woke, go broke". Catchy meme originated by author John Ringo to cast shade on identity politics, at least as practiced by the left. White male identity politics gets less attention, but has been one of the most potent forces in American politics--going back to the KKK and later to George Wallace's campaigns of the sixties, the racist dog whistles of Nixon's "Law and Order" campaign, Pat Buchannan's 1990s presidential bid, and of course, the triumph of the Donald. Each advance by a long-oppressed minority is taken as a threat to the natural order of things in which white males ruled the roost and white culture was synonymous with civilization itself. At the root is what sociologists call "relative deprivation"--the subjective sense of the being deprived of something, to which one believes oneself to be entitled to have, by comparison to some other group or individual , regardless of the objective reality. Runciman distinguishes between individual relative deprivation (perceived deprivation in relation to someone in one's own group, like a co-worker, and fraternal relative deprivation (perceived deprivation in relation to members of a group to which one doesn't belong. White male identity politics is an example of the latter kind, and provides the basis for a political movement.
Yea, but, most white men don't "rule" anything. This is a class issue. Twisting it into a race issue is convenient, sure, but does it really answer the important variables in this? Or is it easier to draw straight line conclusions based on skin color? Oh and the whole "white male" (refusing to identify them as men in an effort to emasculate them in text) thing is such an obvious tactic. The press is really good at it. If they can keep racism alive for another generation, it's money in the bank. Win-win!!!!!
Hey, I'm not the one who is doing the twisting. I agree with you that it's class that's really responsible for their problems, but the gazillionaires who run the show are talented at shifting the blame to racial minorities and women. (Marxists call it "false consciousness") They have think tanks like the American Enterprise Institute and the Cato Institute to help them do this. In this case, they have Breitbart and other outlets funded by the Mercers to spread the myth of the Great Replacement--the theory that there is a grand p;ot to replace the white race with browns, blacks, yellows and reds through breeding and immigration. This isn't exactly a new theory--it's a variant of the "yellow peril" fears of the Nineteenth Century. Nor is it only American. European identitarian politics, fueled by fears of Muslims and immigration, is quite the rage. How “identitarian” politics is changing Europe On another thread, "Lauren Southern is Back With A New Documentary: Borders" you can read all about it. Ms. Southern, a real piece of work, has summarized the talking points nicely in the title of her book: Barbarians: How the Baby Boomers, Immigration, and Isalm Screwed My Generation. Or try her videos "The Great Replacement", "Farmlands", and Borderlands. The male part of the equation is supplied by folks like Jordan ("Keep Your Houlders Straight") Peterson and by Gavin McInnes and his "Proud Boys", mixing it up with Antifa in the streets of Portland, or by the motley crew of tiki torch bearers who marched through the streets of Charlottesville shouting "Jews Will Not Replace Us". According to research by scholars Sides, Tesler and Vivreck, in their book Identity Crisis, white identitarianism is a growing force in the U.S., and was the critical factor behind Trump's victory in 2016. The Rise of White Identity Politics Charlottesville And The Rise Of White Identity Politics White identity politics is about more than racism What Created Today's White Identity Politics? | HuffPost The Identity Politics of Whiteness As for the "white male" aspect, all analyses of the Republican vote in general and Trump in particular show that it it especially strong among males. I agree most men don't "rule" anything, but they have this cultural image of maleness that tells them they should, and that there must be something wrong with them if they're allowing women and minorities to get ahead. As for the "obvious tactic" of using male instead of men, seems to me this is an illusion borne of political correctness on the right and reflecting masculine castration fears.
NPC minds think alike. lol But on a more serious note. Left wing identity politics has spent enough time lobbying to alter the English language though language-policing, political correctness, creating made-up gender pronouns, adding "mansplaining" to the dictionary, and trying to ban various words like "bossy." Ban Bossy. Encourage Girls to Lead. Mansplaining Gender Pronouns | LGBT Resource Center If they achieve their goals in bastardizing the English language to their liking, they'll go after the 2nd most spoken language in America. Soon, Spanish will no longer have a word for "black" This girl named Mika is just another victim of offense-taking culture via leftist indoctrination
English is an eclectic formulation that has more words than Spanish, German and french put together. I have no problem with "Mansplaining" going into the dictionary IF it is defined correctly. I'd like people to know in the next century just how petty and foolish people can be about the stupidest of shit. McJob has been in the dictionary for over a decade now. It was a fad term, so it's no wonder nobody uses it anymore. Also, Spanish has a whole page of words they use for black.
I haven't heard an idea from you yet that wasn't minted by the Right wing meme factory: Breitbart, Southern, Jones, Milo & Co.--down to the overworked NPC meme. I'm surprised you didn't throw in Pepe Frog (but hey, that was your previous atavar). White identity politics can't stand the competition.
