Reasons I am not celebrating July 4th

So, because black people were still slaves for more than 40 years after the document was signed. Freedom for who? Sure wasn’t the slaves. Built a country on the backs of slaves. Celebrate all you want. Also I am no liberal fuck cowboy.
I am heartbroken over the autrocities my country has committed . Lies, greed and murderous is our government.
I, at once would of gave up my life for this country, i have carried a weapon against a foreign enemy. I was there, in dangers way for America.

 

As I said our forefathers paved the way for others to win independence later, includin' the blacks and women. They moved heaven and earth to achieve somethin' thought, at the time, to be impossible. That bein' freedom from the British Empire. You're pissed because they didn't then go on to right all the wrongs left. Unrealistic expectations lead to unreasonable disappointments. I agree on all counts bout the current government. Can't blame the constitution for that state though. These modern politicians have been wipin' their collective asses for nigh 40 years now on that very constitution. If you expect a pat on the back for havin' served you can kiss my ass. You're a perfectly healthy American it's your Goddamn duty to serve your country

Well, techically they banned slavery, but then to make up for the hole in the labour market they started started sentencing poor white people to hard labour 10,000 miles away for ridiculous things like stealing shoes. It's my feeling that if the law prohibits you from serving, you shouldn't go around telling people it's their duty to serve their country. It jes ain't right.
