Let’s get this straight.....on the scientific side backed up by basic physics and chemistry are earth scientists who gain nothing in the way of job security or MONETARY rewards for reporting empirical observations. On the other side are political hacks, mostly supported by big polluters, who have lots of dollars to gain from quibbling over minutia and hurling fecal matter at empirical observations. If the stakes weren’t so high it wouldn’t matter but...

    Google Maps

    Cant embed it directly, but
Thats why you only get a picture on NASA in January

Wow, we should all give them knighthoods, none of them are doing it out of self interest, for tenure, or to get famous, to get published, to progress in their careers, earn extra money

And with basic physics and chemistry that should be easily explanable to the rest of us since its so basic and true.

Oh, and all those evil people making money selling you exactly what you want to buy and consume, eventually pollute the earth with. Yes, Satans elves

Think I'll trust the integrity of a scientist making, what...60k a year? Over an oil CEO making 30 million a year
And here's the thing, scientific research is peer reviewed. If a scientist alters figures to produce certain data for a profit motive, they'll get called out eventually.
The words of an Exxon CEO telling you global warming is a lie? Literally a lie based on nothing. No empirical research, just whatever talking point will continue to make them profit.
It's weird that you're trying to convince us otherwise, honestly.

I'd strongly disagree on the "they'll get called out eventually part"

According to this, which is in itself a study ;) 50 million scientific papers have been published since Isaac Newton was alive, and we were at a rate in 2009 (date of that article) of 2.5 million a year

21st Century Science Overload | Canadian Science Publishing

You'd be lucky if even 1% of those a year get peer reviewed. At most a handful in each field a year would get peer reviewed the 1/2 dozen times it takes to get taken seriously

The one on the Thwaites Glacier, if its so infallable, we can just use that method from now on, we know everything we need to know about glaciers shrinking, everyone else working on that specific subject can go work at McDonalds

......but what if it actually never gets peer reviewed even once

NASA also found a big cavity in the same glacier this year, does that mean it wasnt there before? Can that only be from global warming?

Psssst.....come closer *whispers* The guy from Caltech and others didnt notice the gaping cavern in the Glacier

The innkeeper trusts his guests like he is himself ;)

I hope he's simply exercising his rhetoric skills and/or playing devils advocate.

Humans have helped the plant life of the earth by returning CO2 to the atmosphere

Scientists do put it in simple terms and you do not listen. Are you asking to understand things without a degree? Sounds like you are. A doctor for example can give you a basic run down of how he's going to do your surgery but you don't need the details and would not get it anyway. You need a strong background in the fields these scientists are in to really get the data.

Australia is one of the most threatened countries on this issue. You were already so warm you can not afford to get hotter. I'm sure you could see the evidence around if you looked.

I don't know I probably have taken a lot more science classes than you and worked closely with others who took even more science classes.

I was looking at the future climate data for the City of Boston and the implications are staggering if the computer models are correct.

On average we have seven 90+ Fahrenheit days a year.

By 2050 we’ll have thirty-three 90+ Fahrenheit days a year, and by 2100 we’ll have sixty-Seven 90+ Fahrenheit days in a year. Today Miami Florida has on average sixty-three 90+ days a year.

It’s unimaginable, our entire way of life will change, our entire ecosystem will be disrupted

Well the people who count on me care I'm sure and I care since I don't want to hurt or fail anyone.

I guess you will go to a doctor with no degree next time or drive on a bridge built by someone with no engineering background? I don't know I will always love science. I would not expect you to as well.

So, in 80 years, Boston will be like Florida is now, and that us unimaginable???

Just take a trip to Florida so you can imagine it
