Gun ownership itself is a slight mental illness

I read on CBS that people in California are making more inquiries into classes to qualify for concealed carry permits in the wake of recent mass shootings. Meanwhile, NBC is suggesting that Trump ordered flags to be flown at half staff, to honor Hitler.

The mayor of Dayton is encouraging people to protest Trump if he shows up to pay his respects to the victims. It also appears the Dayton shooter tweeted support for gun control as well as Elizabeth Warren and antifa. 8Chan says the El Paso shooter isn't the one who posted the manifesto and that it first appeared on Instagram, not 8Chan.

And of course Hillary weighed in and said it's about guns and not mental illness or video games, though she said the opposite back in 2005 as a senator. Conversely some NRA-backed republicans are calling for action on gun control after the Ohio shootings.

What I have not seen yet is much in the way of coverage of the victims. Which was the same thing that happened when Dylann Roof shot up a church full of people, nobody remembers the victims names because the whole event was hijacked to chase down confederate flags.

The list of assholes using these events for political, whatever, is growing. And it's just as disgusting as ever. Other than going after the guns of people who haven't killed anyone, what are they doing? I've said before that we really need to talk more about maniac control. A maniac will use a brick or a car or a bamboo spear if they want to murder someone bad enough.

 

OK I misspoke. Whatever you would like to call the "class" that makes me a safe gun owner in the eyes of the NRA. There was no hunting just like an hour or two at most of why I should not point a loaded gun at someone or why I should think of a gun as a tool that I need to treat with respect. My friend wanted me to understand before we shot. He was like some posters here saying my opinion would change if I did this.

I don't see how hunting will take me father then that. It's only going to put the classroom into practice. But I guess I am not certified. I don't need this class to go to rage or purchase a gun. If I can use a range I could hunt a deer. My views on animal rights mean I would not that anyway.

Yes usualy it's either he must be white or Muslim depending on which party you ask. Then when we see it's a white right wing man everyone says he is a plant and actuly a democrat who has the great idea to pretend to be a Trump voting Republican so those people can't have guns. I don't know examine the facts. Often mass shooters are right wing and white.

Most shooters are statistically white males. Not to say a white male are by design a murderer. I am one and I never killed anyone.

It's pretty obvious what the real problem is. The real problem is that you can't trust the government, or people in positions of authority. Nobody wants to give up their guns due to this paranoia. And I can hardly blame them. The current government, especially the Trump administration, sees us all as expendable and insignificant. We are viewed with no more respect than Kim Jong Un sees the people of North Korea, or Putin sees the people of Russia.

I almost can't blame Trump, since the ordinary Americans he surrounds himself with aren't any smarter than cattle.

 

Not sure why a country would give up their guns when their built on a doctrine of religion where their angels welded weapons of mass destruction.

So you are saying people are afraid and paranoid because of the high homicide rate in the US that is due to ease of access to guns.

So the best way to lower the levels of fear and paranoia would be through gun control.
