When America purchased Louisiana and Alaska, it purchased all the human inhabitants right along with the land. Is that also slavery?
Donald Duck can buy Greenland, because the US already owns it. The minute Greenland does anything significant that we don't approve of, we can destroy the entire country by simply cutting off their access to credit, and shipping our illegal aliens there. Mexicans don't mind cold weather as much as you think, and complain about the high humidity in the US. We could offer them land in Greenland if they develop it. With global warming, everybody is moving north anyway. Mexico and Greenland were made for each other, as far as the banks are concerned. They could eventually drive Haiti to bankruptcy.
Well many of those people were not treated well. They came as a bonus with the land I guess. No real thought for them.
One in five Americans insists the sun revolves around the earth and it is illegal to vote for Mickey Mouse, because the Enlightenment only applied to the usual wealthy white guys developing weapons of mass destruction.
You've posted this before. I don't usually ask for proof, but really man, where's the reality in your claim. In raw numbers you're suggesting 70 million people with this claim. Let me guess, they're all "rural white people". Right?
You meant the people who don't go to school and hate college? Maybe so. It's just simple logic. People with no education don't know things. My sister deals with this all the time teaching in a rural area. It's a 4 day week and still kids are not allowed to go to school. They are needed on the farm and told they don't need school. I guess it also does not help my sister has done things like say Ameirca "lost" the Vietnam war. For that she had several parents saying she was a European Socialist who hated America. Uh...she almost has a masters in history at this point. Not that all rural people are dumb but they have a culture of supporting it. You don't need college to fix a diesel semi so why would I want to get indoctrinated? This is a common Fox talking point. All college is bad. Just debt and lies.
The National Science Foundation has collected the statistics for half a century and is online, available to the public. However, good luck with them, they are funded to quietly collect statistics and make them unintelligible to the public. Americans are so contentious that one in five refuses to believe the sun doesn't revolve around the earth, while in other countries the numbers are even higher. All the studies indicate they are organizing like chickens, and will say any damned thing that appeals to them. In other words, they don't trust anybody as far as they can throw them, but they trust the fucking pecking order to keep everyone in line.
I'm still not buying it. While I doubt many of the accused 70M people know or care who Copernicus was, I'm quite sure they're aware of the US and Soviet space programs.
They've collected statistics from a dozen countries for at least for half a century, and they show a consistent pattern. People are voting for whichever clown screams the loudest, because they're looking for a rooster. They literally could not perform more flawless Three Stooges slapstick if they tried. Sadly, without Moe, the Stooges never could have survived and his only advantage was he had a better memory. Thankfully, because they are acting like mindless chickens, you can influence them at any time using linguistic analysis and treat them like confused children. I tell them, "You cannot attack what you do not comprehend", but chickens never do hear my words, until they come back to haunt them.
The US has an Air Force Base in Greenland but they only lease the real estate. The new residential building at Thule
Actually, it's more like a little over one in four Americans who believe the sun revolves around the earth--at least according to a 2012 poll of 2,200 people by the National Science Foundation. Q.:"Does the Earth go around the Sun, or does the Sun go around the Earth," 26 percent of those surveyed answered incorrectly. 1 In 4 Americans Thinks The Sun Goes Around The Earth, Survey Says 1 in 4 Americans Apparently Unaware the Earth Orbits the Sun New Survey: 1 in 4 Americans Believe the Sun Revolves Around the Earth - ImaGeo What Americans Don't Know About Science
