Well come on. Don't make us feel stupid for ignorance, tell us what we don't know.

  2. My mom used to watch birds. She had a big book of birds and everything. There were all kinds of birds in my backyard, as our yard had the most trees. There was literally a big line of trees stretching the whole back yard. She would get so excited when she saw a bird she thought was interesting. I could have cared less about the birds, but many a time found myself looking through binoculars at a cardinal because she wanted me to see it.

i really don't think anything, i just don't know enough about birds to accept the thread's premise at face value. for all i know they take a mid afternoon siesta during the summer.

  4. I wonder what birds dream about.

It was a random thought I had when I was woken before 5am by birds in the morning...decided not to google the science behind it before posting, considering the purpose of this forum. ;)

"science" has done nothing of the sort. the politicizing of "science" and anti-science has. industrialized greed makes its own pseudo-science to excuse itself.
that is not science, any more then it is the will of any god. hatred of logic and honest inquiry is doing that, with an added 'bonus' of human suffering.

The idea that science exists as some sort of fucking ideal, outside of people actually talking to each other and exploring the world together, is Platonic bullshit. Science is not what you think, but what you fucking do, as is anything else. Right now, science and logic are killing the fucking planet and not taking responsibility for the military-industrial complex they have created. All the physical evidence implies they have blinded themselves to the truth, in order to organize in larger numbers, like so many fucking chickens.

I will give them all the bullshit arguments they want and, much, much more. They can split all the semantic hairs they want and categorize anything however they like, and make complete asses of themselves, all within the public domain, for the sake of posterity. So their grandchildren know just what fucking assholes they were.

Perhaps the Arctic Tern which begins it's journey at the North Pole, flies all the way to the tip of South America, then flies all the way back.

i really fail to comprehend how you are blaming the quest for objective knowledge, on the damage caused by short sighted greed and a culture that romantacizes aggressiiveness and trying to impress each other, not by what we learn how to do, but by how much symbolic value we can aquire.

you're absolutely right about those furst couple of sentences, but how you arrive at that conclusion from that premis totally does not compute.

Without a quest for the human soul, science is Three Stooges slapstick, and I have the evidence to prove it.

the submission of such evidence has yet to be observed.
the abuse of objective knowledge, on the other paw, by self proclamed pseudo-conservative, or in other words, fascist, agendas, can be and is, readily and frequently observed.

The self-evident truth speaks louder than anyone's objections.

indeed it does, and i believe i have stated it correctly and accurately.
(also "slapstick stooges" does not answer, or even address, the question that was asked)
