The idea that votes don't matter is unacceptable. I would pretend that they do before I would just accept that they don't.

 

True, there's no such thing as an "against" vote in the US.

 

As George Carlin said, if you vote then you have no right to complain.

 

It's up to you to vote good people in and bad people out. Democrats even get two chances to vote for the right person. But instead of picking the ideal person who you'd want to enforce the laws that congress passes, you select someone who is looking to keep marijuana illegal.

And what sort of illicit thing might our next president do? Wouldn't it be nice to have someone guaranteed not to disgust you? But I guess we can keep going down this road of self-indulgence and disgust. I'm absolutely, 100% sure it leads to beautiful, untouched valleys with great big lakes in the middle.

The real reason people don't vote is because they feel it's safe not to.

 

Or because it's boring.

 

It's only boring because you think you've got it made either way.
