I've been away/out of commission for a while, and will explain shortly. In the meantime.... I wish I could get to sleep and just post this later, but I'm damn compelled to do it now...I found out about Irmi's good-bye, and I do think she means it and it so saddens me. It seems this is the time for sadness.

DANG HF SIDEWAYS MESS!!!

My precious girl (cat) BeeBee crossed over Sept 20th...I had to make that awful decision to have her PTS - her kidney score was 40 and should have been between 0 to 14, so the vet and I decided the most humane thing was to send her to the Rainbow Bridge. She was still walking, fussing just a little, and even purring.

Then last but most certainly not the least thing I've been dealing with is - Mama was put in the hospital (with a wound she had hidden from me) last Wed. A DSS social worker came to me less than 24 hours after she was admitted and told me she felt Mama would be best served at a (1st) short term rehab facility - after they released her from the hospital, and then they wanted to put her (in the same place) but switch her over to long-term (forever) care/nursing home. Since I have POA, this DSS social worker told me when she found out I had POA, IF i decided to fight it, it would me against the state (DSS)...I said I wouldn't fight them.

Surprisingly enough, after I got my wits about me,and Mama was moved, I completely changed my mind, and I intend to fight them totally. I AM going to get this house straight, spic and span and ready for this bitch's surprise visit and I fully intend to get Mama back home especially for her 100th birthday. Maybe one day I'll go along with it - but it is NOT NOW. I found out that in order for her to stay long term, they would also have to put her on medicaid since her Medicare Plan A, Plan B AND Plan F (Mutual of Omaha) wouldn't pay for the nursing home and EVERYTHING would be taken from her - all her money and savings and then the land she gave me in 2016.. all of that lit a fire under my ass. PLUS Mama doesn't need that yet. She just needs someone to come in a bathe her and maybe sit with her sometimes...So I've been going through all of that. Plus Mama begs me to come home, she recognizes me as her daughter(!) and asks about the cats constantly.

I lied my butt off at the Medicaid interview application day before yesterday. However, I not only didn't want to get in trouble (but I didn't really have to worry as the application process was far from complete) I called the DSS lady that afternoon of me lying (I still can't believe I did that) and told her I WAS getting this house clean enough for her whatever inspection she planned to continue to put us through, and I WOULD have Mama back at home where she belongs. The DSS woman had enough sense to say that sounded good, for me to get that house going, and it sounded like I had a plan, etc. She played nice. Then yesterday I IMMEDIATELY told the business office(of the home Mama is at) I had tried every way I knew how to leave a message with Terra (the medicate interviewer) and told them I had NO INTENTION of doing the 16 things I was supposed to do to complete the process and furthermore I was not totally honest about assets. Fuck it...I'm not a good liar...or IF I am good, my conscience just damn eats me up. I could have just not appeared, but I wasn't going to do that...I needed to TELL of my sin. gad. I kind of make myself sick sometimes.

Even if Medicaid went back only the 2 yrs MY LAWYERS PARALEGAL told me the day I had the medicaid interview...I would still fight Mama staying there. She has dementia, but she doesn't need to be there. Not now.

So that pretty much covers why I've been away (if anybody wondered). Sorry for this extremely long post, but I didn't know how to really break it up, and I'll just be checking in periodically.

I post from the bath all the time. It just doesn't usually come up in conversation : ) actually I think I started HFing in the bath directly because Irm made it sound like such a good time.

I am so sorry for all you are going through. Losing BeeBee would be bad enough but everything about your Mom sounds like a nightmare. You are strong but remember to take care of yourself. HUGS. Love you.
