The Daily 202: The 2016 campaign never ended. Trump’s preoccupation with the last election gets him into trouble.
    by James Hohmann
    October 3, 2019

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ts-him-into-trouble/5d95672b602ff16066415193/

    excerpt:

"-- What else did Trump tell Zelensky about the Democratic National Committee’s server?

Trump said Wednesday that his controversial July call with his Ukrainian counterpart was transcribed ‘word-for-word, comma-for-comma,’ an assertion that fueled growing questions about the nature and completeness of an official memorandum about the call released by the White House last week,” Carol Leonnig, Craig Timberg and Drew Harwell report. “Current and former U.S. officials studying the document pointed to several elements that, they say, indicate that the document may have been handled in an unusual way. Those include the use of ellipses … that traditionally have not appeared in summaries of presidential calls with foreign leaders … Others have noted the brevity of a document purporting to represent a call that lasted 30 minutes. …

In two of the cases when ellipses were used, they accompanied Trump’s reference to cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, which is at the center of a conservative conspiracy theory about a computer server central to the company’s investigation of the Russian hack [in 2016] of Democratic Party computers that, according to those pushing the theory, is hidden away in Ukraine. The use of ellipses in this passage fueled questions about what may have been removed and why. The five-page document reports Trump said, ‘I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike... I guess you have one of your wealthy people... The server, they say Ukraine has it.’ … The White House declined to comment Wednesday about the unusual markings or other apparent discrepancies.”

    Not really
You know who Trump reminded me of in that meeting?
When I was in my late teens/early 20s and worked customer service/retail type jobs - he reminded me of every rude, entitled baby boomer customer ever (and before the baby boomers get offended, you're not all like that of course. But as far as entitlement, the baby boomer age group were the absolute worst customers). He might as well have been screaming at a 16 year old cashier at McDonalds that he didnt want pickles on his burger and demanding to see a manager; the attitude was the same.
Trump is a Karen. Not because I want to see him like that, but because objectionably he is a Karen. He's just a rude entitled asshole. Doesnt matter what you think of his policies, you really cant get around the fact that he's a really unlikable person

He's also a really a stupid person. Like it's obvious he just does not understand a lot of things. How he fools anyone in to thinking otherwise is beyond me. All he ever does is make smart ass or wrong statements. He hides his lack of knowladge with mean jokes and short responses. It's obvious when a speech is written for him vs his own thoughts. The vocabulary and body language change so much.

Pretty much many people who have a 9th grade American education know more than him. He's not a respected academic or social mind.

Trump just publicly asked China to investigate Biden. He did it right in front of the TV cameras. He did it on the same day his vice president was calling for an end to endless investigations. So, I went on line and looked up how many Ben Ghazi investigation the Republicans carried out against Hillary Clinton. The answer is seven, starting in 2012. Last week we found out that Trump's State Department interview 100 current and former State Department employees about emails sent to Hillary Clinton, going back over 7 years. It sounds like someone needs to tell them she is not on the ballot this time.

Sad to say, but Fox News belatedly calling the bastard a criminal is quite likely to prevent a civil war. No doubt, it will also improve their ratings and bring the Libertarian party to its knees. Honor among thieves only matters if they profit, and we shall see just how much Donald Duck has inspired the assholes to attack each other and how Fox spins everything. Democrats will want to drag this out and make them pay, while republicans will want to sweep it under the carpet as fast as they can. With any luck, the Neo-Nazis will be set back years and won't have another Donald Duck in office anytime soon. Without the Neo-Nazis extremists, the Libertarian party is about as sexy as a sawdust on a barroom floor, and its pretty obvious Donald Duck was the best they could do at this time.

Hitler sounds like a raving maniac to those who don't speak German, but he is widely acknowledged as being a great speaker who played the crowded like a musical instrument. Unless the US economy bites the dust and has little hope of recovering, its very unlikely we will see his like anytime in the foreseeable future. I would not be surprised if Libertarians themselves urged Fox to take a stand.

3.5% US unemployment rate for September

So with hip forumers telling you effect of trade war is "hitting hard"

Are we seriously still peddling that?

None of those convictions were for interference in the election

Interesting you quoted everything up until this:

"I believe you are incorrect about President Trump's intentions," Sondland wrote in a message to Taylor. "The president has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo of any kind. The president is trying to evaluate whether Ukraine is truly going to adopt the transparency and reforms that President Zelensky promised during the campaign."

Well. as I said, I was in a hurry.

So let's look at that quote.
Sonland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, contributed $1 million to Trump's inauguration, he was in on the Trump phone call to Zelensky, he spoke to Giuliani in attempt to "contain the damage", he tried to get the Ukraine to "deliver" so that the military funds could be released by Trump, and the quote you cited was released on Sept. 9.

Does that date ring any bells?
Sept. 9 was the day the whistleblower complaint was made know to congress.
It was a CYA statement. Cover Your Ass.

And just because Sondland says it ain't so doesn't mean it ain't so:

Trump's U.S. Diplomats to Ukraine Laid Out High Crimes in a Bunch of Texts
Apparently, the Ukrainian president would only get a White House meeting "conditioned on investigations" of the Bidens.

Trump's U.S. Diplomats to Ukraine Laid Out High Crimes in a Bunch of Texts

    excerpt:

"Meanwhile, after Trump asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to also investigate the Bidens, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi responded: “China will not interfere in the internal affairs of the US, and we trust that the American people will be able to sort out their own problems.""
