Did you just seriously say there is no conflict in Syria?

Yeah, but if there is another attack on one of their oil fields and gas prices jump up again, you are going to whinge about gas prices jumping up again

Probably blame the evil oil companies for price gouging

I think that @MeAgain means that with our troops in place, there was a disincentive to do battle with Kurdish forces in Syria, or any forces in that area really.

Lolz, ok, why dont you enthrall us with your wisdom then. How far do we have to go back to find a Republican president that didnt want to go to war

Or a Democrat President for that matter....not counting the one that only got one term because he was so useless

Are you going to fall for that trap?

Your President was told what to do, and I'm guessing he was told to do it within 72 hours since the announcement by Erdogan came on twitter on the Thursday and they already had the operation planned. Thursday is also when they briefed the UNSC, they would have needed more than 3 days to prepare for that

Do you any idea what's going on in Syria?
Did you read the link you posted?

Syria is composed of different factions.

In the area controlled by the Kurds; the U.S., the Kurds, and Turkey had an agreement to set up a safe zone in northern Syria so that Turkey didn't have to fear a terrorist incursion into their country by the Kurds and the Kurds didn't have to fear an attack by Turkey.
The U.S. troops were the buffer. Turkey is an ally of the U.S. and the Kurds are an alley of the U.S., they weren't going to get into a war with each other when U.S. troops were present.
This is all from your link.

The "genius" withdrew our troops and bam! Here come the Turks.

Let me simplify it for you. When two kids get into a fight an adult gets in the middle of the two. The fighting stops. If the adult leaves, the fighting starts up again.

Sure one possibility is that he was told, he's a puppet. Putin and Assad love this withdraw.

Or he's just a complete idiot and thought pulling U.S. troops would help him get reelected.

    Either way, it's bad.

So you think Trump was ordered out by Erdogan on that phone call and you somehow think that makes Trump look...good? To take orders from someone who intends to launch an offensive against US allies?

    source.gif

    What the hell.

And then the next part - where's your source that Trump has been planning this since August? Why did this take Kurdish forces by surprise if Trump has been planning this since August? Why were officials with the Pentagon taken by surprise and have expressed opposition to his abrupt withdrawal if he has in fact been planning this since August?

Show me a source that proves Trump had this all planned out and Kurdish forces and military officials knew about this ahead of time. Go on.
And Trump just casually mentioning it in a rally or making an off the cuff remark doesnt count. Saying something out loud is not the same thing as planning something, I hope you know that.

Prove he had this all planned out and is acting strategically and in cooperation with our Kurdish allies and the US military.

We're all waiting with baited breath.

Oil prices didnt jump in the US, this has already been explained to you. The US is the biggest oil producer in the world
It makes 0 sense to bend over backwards for Saudi Arabia because the US is energy independent from the middle east nowadays

You think Assad loves this withdrawal and Turkey invading part of his country?

I'm not an expert on this at all but if I had to guess I would say a jump in prices is due more to market volatility rather than any real shortage in the US due to saudi oil field attacks anyways, because the US doesn't really get oil from Saudi Arabia anymore
