Giuliani, sidelined from appearing on television for the moment as he is drawn increasingly into the Ukraine matter at the heart of the impeachment inquiry, the president’s team remains outgunned in the fight for public opinion.

Even Mr. Trump — who for the most part has been operating as a one-man war room, setting the tone of grievance from the top — appears confused about which of his staff members is in charge."

 

Again, why would Putins wealthy friends need these guys if Trump has a secret batphone to the Kremlin

They are only allies if they work with us and our other allies rather than against us. Turkey has been an unreliable ally. Erdogan’s statements about the US and its allies combined with words of solidarity with Iran and Russia, show that Turkey can no longer reasonably considered an ally accept in a nominal, technical sense. With Turkey's purchase of two batteries of the Russian S-400 air defense system, Erdogan has moved away from its NATO partners. His pursuit of an Islamist educational policy and repressive measures toward dissidents is also moving away from the democratic values espoused by NATO members--not that Trump and his fans would care abut that.

 

How so? Your man in the White House gave him the green light. But wait and see. As the slaughter of our Kurdish allies continues, we'll see if Mnuchin lowers the boom with those devastating economic sanctions. I'm not holding my breath.

1) Trump could be speaking with both, as is common in complex criminal conspiracies.
2) Trump needs constant guidance and reassurance, because deep down he is insecure.
3) We'll know more after we get is financial records from Mazars … and all his tax returns … and the Deutsche Bank files which include the names of his loan cosigners.
