Was the ONLY one I found. But I reckon they will be out in numbers any minute now. Hopefully. Everything else this year has flowered and fruited prolifically so my scientific prediction is yes.

I suck, but I can tell I'd get good at it if I played it. Like, the ball doesn't go in the pocket maybe, but it goes in the direction intend and lots of close misses. And I'd love to play a bit more and improve but I don't have anyone to do that with really.

One of my customers asked me to do an emergency jit run out to the reservation last night to get him a few bags of cigarettes which I did and I came home with Citrus funk and black diamond

I have had the Black Diamond before it is impressive but this Citrus funk strain is really pretty to look at and it tastes very nice

Pool is for wimps !!! - try playing snooker on a full-sized table, far more skill in that !!!

Kind of a ridiculous statement since the two games are not the same you may as well have said forget about Billiards try playing soccer on a full-size soccer field :)

I actually prefer snooker. Same deal applies to what I said about my pool ability level though. In my home town there was a snooker hall I occasionally went to with my friend and lil bro.

Yeah I don't know why you need to insult pool though. Plenty of skill needed for pool. I'm not sure I even buy snooker being harder.

Sleeping troubles? Otherwise, why get out of bed for rum coffee and a doob only to go to sleep right after it again?!

I suck at it too. I have come to terms with it years ago. I do it far too less and when me and my friends were more into it I was mediocre at best. So, i have to play pool too regularly for my liking to be at least somewhat of an opponent.

Getting up for a bit and going back to bed is a pleasure!
And I often have vivid dreams after a waking break.

With pool, the table is smaller, the pockets are bigger and it doesn't matter if you happen to hit a different coloured ball. Snooker is far more skill

It can be, but not for a doobie or any other intoxication imo. Unless one stays up for at least an hour to fully enjoy it. Otherwise it seems kind of a waste to me. Unless it's to deal with sleeping trouble i guess

I'll tell yas the truth about getting good at pool. If you want to get good and really learn you need to take a good 2 years getting beat, every game, every weekend, going out, getting beat. Over and over and over again by players much better than you. You need to learn how to not get upset, learn to not let a slump get to you. In that time you need to start to learn why you're getting beat, what's working and what isn't working. But it takes years of getting beat by better players. Once you reach a certain potential or point, even if just first practice, you'll never get better unless you play people better than you and get beat by them.

Once you've taken those couple of years to learn, refine and most of all keep your cool under pressure, you'll be a much better pool player. Much of pool is all in your head. If you don't think you'll make a shot you've already missed it before it's played. The "mind for pool" is legit, you need to be arrogantly minded to play, you need to back yourself on every shot for it might be your last.

It's taken me, what? Around 4 or 5 years now to get where I have in pool and the best advice I ever got was to go and pay 50€ to join comps I never stood a chance in. It's helped me rise against better players, though for some reason I become complacent against weaker opponents. I actually fear playing weaker opponents because I'm expected to win, and I find I play better against better opponents because in all honesty, I have to use every fragment of knowledge I've learned in those 5 years to even keep pace.

But if you just want to be better than your friends at the pub I can point you in the direction of simple drills which is really all you need for pub action. Chances are the cues aren't sufficient enough to really gain the control of the cue ball, making just centre ball shots and top spin for follow about all you can achieve, unless you get your own decent cue of course.

From a social aspect, I used to suffer a lot of social anxiety, so for me to play pool was hard. I literally had to go out one night on my own and meet people I never knew. Now I have a hard time going to any venue without knowing somebody. My social network has increased tremendously because of pool and I've got some good friends and team mates because of it.

Since I have a heavy hit and like to get down and stay down on my shots, snooker is probably the ideal form of cue sport for me, but I've never given it a shot primarily because I know my eyesight wouldn't be sufficient enough over the distance of the tables.
