I'm sure you can make and keep being friends, Fae! Not saying this to say something nice. When it feels in some way forced on you that's just the crux. I go against that often too. Just because J is conjuring such a conviction up in you doesn't mean it counts always

 

Girls have this certain energy in a group. I find it exhausting.
It isnt the same hanging out with a group of guys.
Even though my girlfriends arent really typical girls and are really cool, I still get overwhelmed hanging out with them after a while.
Whenever our whole group is together, the lads and the ladies, the girls will sometimes venture off by themselves and I'll hang out with them for a while but then I have to go back to the guys so I can relax and mellow out a little.
I just think guys are easier company overall

 

At your age you shouldn't be saying that - no stamina. Just give a couple of decades then we'll allow you to complain !!!

So I’m on my way to work.this Dodge Durango is in front of me is going slow. Then I noticed it was for sale. the number was on the back window. So I decided to call it.
ME “ i’m calling about the blue Durango”
THEM “ok, yes it’s for sale”
ME “Does it run”
THEM “yes it does”
ME “ well step on the gas or get the hell out of my way”

 

Power outage now has hit my house Hydro is seen bringing a new pole over to the island...internet just plugged into the backup battery box but it won't last very long

 

one on one socialising is what i prefer.
parties and groups sometimes, fun, but mostly the best conversations are when i'm with one person.

a thought. i used to say i preferred male company.. but i started to notice that LOADS of women say that, which made me question what it was actually about, and i think it's because of a sense of competition.. which i realised i still felt even though i would have thought i was different. like, i thought the reason i preferred men to women was about what other women are like, and i'm not the same. but being different than average wasn't the issue.. when i really examined myself i was seeing other women as rivals. and i think those feelings are quite natural and deep rooted, and i still feel them at times, but now i tend to notice and consciously remember she isn't, and it does alter how being with women feels. i find it much easier.

I hear you, I was cringing as I typed that because I know how it sounds and that's exactly what I usually think when women say they get along with guys better and it's how I was too when I was a teen and in my early 20s.
But for me it genuinely isnt the case anymore. I have nothing but admiration for most women I meet.
For me it's more....that building friendships with women just takes more work. There's less expectation with guys, if I just chill quietly and occassionally pipe up with a funny joke guys tend to like me and we're instant friends.
With women it's harder for me to click in that instant sort of way. I'm not sure what it is I'm lacking, I know that it's me lacking something...and so I feel like I have to put in a lot of effort to connect with women, and since I'm an introvert that takes my energy and I find it exhausting. There's just very few women I connect with in an easy natural way. That doesnt mean I dont like them, I may admire them very much and want to get closer to them but it's just hard for me for whatever reason.
Obviously I dont have a problem talking about myself online but in real life I find it very difficult to talk about myself and I think that's the problem, with women they want to share things. Sharing personal things is what builds female bonds but I just struggle with it. So it's like I dont offer enough of myself to connect easily with women or build deeper, more comfortable friendships.
Men dont expect all that, they just like to do fun activities and make jokes the whole time. It's easier.
