I think that the real issue now is what's going to happen if he does get impeached? I mean are Republicans going to vote for him anyway?

It seems so ridiculous. The way they're painting it, it's only democrats who think Trump did anything; not republicans. That he doesn't deserve it, and that he's rightfully remaining in office.

What could be more meaningless than impeaching someone and have nothing at all happen?

Libertarians rigging our elections, shredding the constitution, and electing Donald Duck only to insist he be made emperor of the world, is not up for discussion. In case you hadn't noticed, to Libertarians words are merely weapons, and they never say what they mean, because they don't even know what they mean. Discussion is impossible, when 40% of the country refuses to even listen to themselves, and makes endless insane demands. You could have a more fruitful discussion with the nearest wall.

  3. That's how I feel every time someone refers to anything as a "bombshell" anymore. The term has lost all meaning since NOBODY important has been arrested yet. I'm ready to see some perp walks and jump suits in court.

The idiots are seriously debating whether Donald Duck's entire administration should be above both prosecution and even scrutiny by congress and the justice department, because the entire country is being led by complete idiots willing to sell their own mothers down the river. Forty percent of the population is so insane as to insist we no longer have rule of law or anything remotely like a democracy. Fuck em all, both liberals and conservatives will come out of this all to well aware that they no longer have any sort of government worth supporting, and give both parties a vote of no-confidence. If politics were merely about who wins, we'd still be in the stone age.

Republicans lost some key elections this week. Can't they see that Trump has become a liability and they should cut ties with him? Is it naïve of me to think that at this point they have more to lose by defending him?

If republicans could possibly shoot themselves in the foot more often, they would already be an extinct species. As it is, they are on the endangered species list, with the white population declining faster than any other on the planet for decades now. The sex, lies, and videotape of the Three Stooges will be available next month by popular demand. Reality TV can't compete with itself.

It's not meaningless. If the House finds grounds for impeachment and votes for impeachment as per the Constitution, it forces the Republican Senators to take a stand as per the Constitution.

The House will have already declared that enough evidence has been amassed to proceed to a trial in the Senate.
Trump will be put on notice that he isn't king.
The Republicans will have to hold some type of trial and answer to the public.

To ignore the fact that a sitting president of the United States has asked a foreign country to interfere in our elections....again, simply can't be brushed aside.
If it is what value are any of our laws?

The Ugly Reality is there hasn't been much of a republican party for the last twenty years, and Americans are only now waking up to the fact their entire political system is fucked. Allowing complete idiots to corrupt our government by rigging elections and shredding the constitution is as irresponsible as it gets, and civil war could be the result.

I do. I know how the republicans feel about it. They would rather die than lose the election.

  13. I remember when Bill CLinton was impeached. He tried to get back in but got defeated by Obama. So no i don't think it will happen

Its rather hard to deny that 40% of the country supports Donald Duck, and a recent survey said 60% of those would support him even if he were found guilty. Fucked is fucked, a political system that isn't founded on rule of law is fucked.

Some 80 million people insisting rule of law isn't good enough anymore is enough to make anyone reach for the Pepto.

Obama was still just a lecturer at University of Chicago in 98 when Clinton was impeached
