OK let me get this straight because this is unprecedented in the history of the executive branch of the U.S. Government.

Michael Cohen, Trumps former personal attorney and fix-it-man is serving 3 years in Federal prison, another former personal attorney of Donald Trump Don McGahn was just ordered by a Federal judge to appear before the House Judiciary Committee, and President Trump’s current personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, is under federal investigation into possible money laundering, obstruction of justice, and campaign-finance violations, and a grand jury is being convened.

    OK, - WOW!

Trump hit his support floor very early in his presidency. Now short of a truly monsterous act (canabilism?) there's enough brainwashing to make any actions, even clear bribery in attempt to influence an election easy to ignore.

    American propganda is masterful.

  7. So is American polling. No matter how they fix the "results" the reality of it hits the ballot box.

LOL I suppose you could say it was more like the right wing fantasy of the cold war during the McCarthy era– the belief that Russia had infiltrated the government and was secretly pulling the strings.

There has not been a national election in my lifetime which polling did not predict the outcome of the national vote within the margin of error.

To be more accurate, it would have to be a 50 state poll to account for the idiosyncrasies of our election system but that would be much more expensive.

There's strong predictive power in statistics, and I think you ignore them at your peril. Or I want you to come to my casino.

  13. Polling is devolving into a medium for pushing an agenda. It's well suited to the task actually, so it's no surprise this might happen. They fooled me with Hillary. I actually thought Trump would dodge out at the last minute. All kinds of shit went wrong including the polls.

Unless one knows how a poll was conducted they can't be relied upon at all.

Last 6 polls had Clinton beating Trump by 3 points and she had 2.1 percent more votes.

Editolization of polls did get it wrong, but there was nothing wrong with the underlying data. To suggest a conspiracy based on this doesn't seem credible.

I'm not skeptical about math, i'm skeptical about how some political polls are conducted.

They tell ya when you follow your links.

Sure you have to be rigerous and ignore actual partisan polling agencies which have agendas which there are. You also have to aggregate them, and they are predictive statistics and not crystal balls.

    But ignoring them is foolish.

When a poll (result) is shared on a forum its often far from clear who made it.
I disagree. It depends what more a person is ignoring. But I find i can do very well without any poll regarding candidates chances in elections

How many witnesses will it take? I wonder...

To me, it's like some people are trying to let this slide as much as possible despite any evidence that a conviction should take place.
