I have never been accused personally. Just feel vulnerable. And that is a good way to put it. I still think everyone is entitled to an opinion and can post their side/view. Attack the arguments, never the person. All too often I see an interesting argument and instead of an equally though provoking counter, the comment is bypassed and they head straight for a baseless character attack. Example
    1) post: "I want open boarders" response is something like "your an idiot that does not understand a thing about economics and you dont care about crime or the drugs killing people coming across our boarder" - wtf

    2) post: "we need to close the boarder" response is something like "your an idiot that does not understand what splitting up a family is like, your a racist" - again wtf

Both sides do this without fail. Cheers to you and Holly! Fight for your beliefs and keep it clean and above the belt. ;)

  2. also we don't have the death penalty.

  3. From channel 9 news today:

Trump is calling his impeachment a hoax.

He will be pissed off once he learns that it's not

As I’ve said before when listening to many on the right you do get the feeling that they seem to feel entitled to rule and would happy sacrifice democracy and rule of law to ensure that is the case.

They see what are obvious abuses of power – things that they would be screaming about if it was done by anyone to the left of themselves – and they simply shrug, either ignoring it or in many cases actually supporting it.

They seem to have crossed the line of caring about their country and happily stride toward where only power matters and to hell with checks and balances.

And the terrifying thing is that I don’t even think many realise what they are doing. I get the horrible feeling that these type of right wingers would cheer along all the way to the setting up of a dictatorship.

PT Barnum's freak show just keeps getting freakier every day, thanks to reality TV taking over everything. The price of insisting you can have the justice you can afford is, everybody wants blood.

They feel whoever is stronger should rule, which is why we fought the civil war, because the idiots wouldn't know how to really organize if their lives depended on it, and have frequently trashed out the entire economy and country attempting to save them. A mindless mob is a mindless mob is a mindless mob no matter how loudly they protest otherwise. Why anyone bothers to give such idiots the time of day boggles the imagination.

Slavery and cotton are not the future. The pentagon sells better weapons than anyone, and is royally pissed at Donald Duck. Either the American people get their shit together, or the Pentagon will have to insist. The idea any mindless mob is going to be allowed to derail this gravy train is laughable. Its the biggest fucking empire in the history of the planet. Somehow, I feel certain that Homeland Security and the IRS will take a very personal interest in conservatives after Donald Duck leaves office.

Today at the impeachment hearings House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said President Trump’s conduct with Ukraine rose to an impeachable offense.

The Republican's defense is largely that impeaching Trump will tear the country apart. That's okay, we'll get over it. One thing Americans are is resilient. But if we wish to uphold our principles we can't allow this to set a precedent, we must move on with the impeachment, win or lose.

  8. That's not what we're hearing from the hearings today. Most of them are holding fast that there's not any actual evidence of Trump's "guilt". I haven't heard the tearing the country apart claim in the news cycle for months. Do you have a recent clip in mind? Or are you trying to bring bell bottoms back?

need to see the Biden's , Pelosi , Schifty Schitt , and the WHISTLE BLOWER , in congress, in the hot seat.

this is going nowhere, it will be another defeat for the 'rats , plus they will lose the house . and be forced to sit in the corner for the rest of time :)

Of course not. It'll end like the other attempts to do so.

Having seen so many Republicans at work in congressional investigatory hearings, I'd say be careful what you wish for. They tend to be much like yourself, and don't make an appealing presence to normal people. I fully expect an effort to turn the hearings into a circus, to the further detriment of our constitutional republic. They'll call their own witnesses, but Trump will continue to block key witnesses from testifying. My preference would be to pass a resolution of censure and move on.
