Forget that specific wording. I was reacting to your remark:

which remains arguable. The awareness and initiatives are indeed growing, some with succes, often local. The overall state of the planet and the negative human impact on it are not headed in the right direction yet.

What is amazing is the fact that a large number of people can bet on a theory that has only few percent probability of occurring. That fact that many of these people are “R” doesn’t explain it. People once put leaches on their bodies and my grandmother put fried onions on my chest when I was young to cure a cold. Both strategies had a low probability of success. We need to not listen to such a fringe anymore. And when the deniers are wrong, how will they compensate the billions of creatures and people doomed to death from a hothouse earth? They won’t be able too.

CO2 levels are rising of course, but faster than ever before, moreso over this last decade of everyone being supposedly more aware

Actually a lot of states are adressing it, but it's true that Trumo doesn't belive in climate change.

Fun thought what if all the worlds governments and NGO's stopped going to the COP meetings to agree only to disagree, I wunder how much emmision would actually be reduced from that alone.

That's one heck of a bubble you're in. There's realities involving climate change but man you're WAY off the charts. You've got a LOT of studying to do to catch up with reality. The stuff you throw out here is a prime example of a phenomenon now known as "loserthink". Cheer up, it ain't too late to learn.

BTW I know someone who lives in central VA and they definitely got a dusting of snow the other day. So, what you don't see doesn't make it not so. Same with birds and insects. There's TONS of them around. They're found more out in the country than in the city though. Charlottesville may even spray to keep insects at bay leaving less food for birds.

  12. Saw on abcnews instagram how many greens are disgusted about getting rid of old trees.
Funny how they want to lead on climate change and then lose their minds when trees get taken down.
Getting rid of old things encourages new growth.
Who cares if they are going to make paper with these old trees.

  13. Mate,

Make sure that where you are living that you get rid of any clutter around your house.
If there are trees that need to be cut down because of them being a possible danger (branches falling on your rooftop) get it done.

This is right on . The first problem is so many people don’t know the difference between weather and climate. The second thing climate deniers don’t have a grasp on is the concept of probability as used in evaluating scientific investigations. The third thing is a basic understanding of chemistry and physics, particularly with respect to radiation wave length and CO2. Finally, they don’t have a concept of time as in naturally occurring climate changes and the fast forward we are in today. The diagnosis is clear.....CLUELESS.

Explain to us how previous results in many fields obtaining a 5 sigma confidence level have later proven to be false

Yes, well I'm not surprised given that some Australian has managed to torch the east coast states and Western Australia !!!

You are not surprised that CO2 levels are rising faster than ever before because of a bunch of bushfires on the east coast of Australia this month?

I'm not suprised they have risen either. The awareness and initiatives may be growing, but so has been the amount of people with some money to spend. And those people often spend their money on stuff that impacts CO2 levels either directly or indirectly.

The bushfires are part of the feedback loop scientists have been warning us about. Rising temperatures due to increased CO2 levels have created favorable conditions for wildfires which in turn increases CO2 levels which will contribute even more to climate change

I'm surprised governments aren't transitioning their capital cities to higher grounds, London is a perfect example its going to be under water sooner or later guaranteed, like at least start pumping more money into Birmingham or Manchester so when the time comes they've got an easy plan B to operate from.
