Extremely aggravating to Trump is that he is finally being held accountable for his bevaviors and in a highly public venue that will go on record indelibly. Impeachment won't be stopped by his previous tactics, such as using his personal attorney to funnel hush money payments to Stormy Daniels through a murky Delaware LLC. It won't be stopped by having his buddy David Pecker of the National Enquirer bury unfavorable stories about him using the underhanded catch-and-kill tactic. His approach of relcutantly settling privately in court in his civil cases so that he could claim victory when he lost isn't a remedy this time. The Supreme Court can't stop the impeachment, although Trump in a last-ditch desperation tweet seemed to think it possibly could.
If Trump's anger over impeachment continues and affects his health, it may be necessary to trick him again into visiting the medical center to do another 'head start installment' of his annual physical.
He failed at it. He said he was finally going to admit it to journalists at a news conference to be held at his new Trump hotel near the White House. It was a bait-and-switch tactic to promote his hotel. At the end of his long promotion, he blamed Hillary for supposedly starting the 'Obama was born in Africa' conspiracy.
No. You are misunderstanding No. You are reading things into it that just aren’t there. It’s an awkward slogan but not malevolent.
Schaffer had a good point during the congressional debate. He mentioned that aid to Ukraine was granted in 2017, and 2018. It stopped when Joe Biden announced he was running for president.
Impeachment day for Trump: A bruised ego, a Twitter eruption and constant calls At the White House, Trump aides sought to portray the day as a relatively normal one for a president who has faced intense political threats for three years. By NANCY COOK, BURGESS EVERETT and GABBY ORR 12/18/2019 05:55 PM EST Impeachment day for Trump: A bruised ego, a Twitter eruption and constant calls excerpt: "Democrats declared that Trump was falling far short of former President Bill Clinton’s example of a master multi-tasker amid an effort to oust him from office. “Clinton’s entire strategy was to prove that he could govern and still be president while impeachment was happening. That was a pretty effective strategy,” said Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut. Trump “could be spending this week talking about the budget and the trade agreement. But he’s not doing that. Nor did anyone expect him to.” Along with his Christmas card from the White House, Murphy also received a copy of the bombastic six-page letter Trump sent Pelosi — real evidence that Trump is consumed with impeachment no matter how he spins it."
President Trump impeached in historic vote by sharply divided House Jon Ward, Senior Political Correspondent Yahoo News December 18, 2019, 8:35 PM EST excerpt: "The House approved the first article of impeachment, on abuse of power, by a vote of 230 to 197 at 8:34 p.m. after a daylong debate. Of the 233 Democrats, 228 voted in favor, along with the House’s one Independent. Two Democrats opposed the measure. No Republicans voted in favor. Eighteen minutes later, the second article, charging obstruction of Congress, passed by a vote of 229 to 198 with three Democrats voting no, and again no Republicans in favor. Trump came to the stage for a rally in Battle Creek, Mich., just as the vote was being called and told the crowd, “It doesn’t really feel like we’re being impeached. The country is doing better than ever before. We did nothing wrong. And we have tremendous support in the Republican Party.” Moments after the second article was approved, Trump called his impeachment “illegal, unconstitutional and partisan.” Democrats, he said, “are declaring their deep hatred and disdain for the American voter.”"
Totally Sane Republicans Think Trump Is Jesus, Impeachment Is Pearl Harbor That’s right, voting to impeach their lord and savior is basically the same thing as bombing a U.S. naval base. By Bess Levin December 18, 2019 excerpts: Kicking things off was Representative Barry Loudermilk, who told his colleagues that even Jesus got a fairer shake than Trump before he was nailed to the cross. “When Jesus was falsely accused of treason, Pontius Pilate gave Jesus the opportunity to face his accusers,” Loudermilk said. “During that sham trial, Pontius Pilate afforded more rights to Jesus than Democrats have afforded this president in this process.” “On December 7,” Kelly said, “a horrific act happened in the United States, and it’s one that President Roosevelt said, ‘This is a date that will live in infamy.’ Today, December the 18, 2019, is another date that will live in infamy. When just because you hate the president of the United States and you can find no reason other than the fact that you're so blinded by your hate that you can’t see straight that you’ve decided the only way we can make sure this president doesn’t get elected again is to impeach him.”
In addition calls to impeach Obama came from many politicians including Republican Darrell Issa of California, Republican Congressman Michael C. Burgess of Texas, Republican Senator Jon Kyl, Republican Representative Walter B. Jones, Republican Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma, Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz of Utah, Republican Senator Tom Coburn, Republican Congressman Blake Farenthold, Republican Congressman Kerry Bentivolio, Repubican Representative Louie Gohmert, the Republican House Judiciary committee, the South Dakota Republican Party, Republican Congressmember Allen West, Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, and the the Oklahoma Legislature.
For years right wingers have been attacking lefties for not been respectful enough of Christianity all that stuff about not saying Christmas for example. But we now have right wingers comparing the ‘suffering’ of Trump a person born into riches and known con artist to Jesus... to Jesus Christ. What fucking next will they raise him to godhood ‘Our Trump who art in Heaven, hallowed be his name…’
On that note Trump seems to have talked to god about Rep. Debbie Dingell's vote to impeach him. Rep. Debbie Dingell's husband was Rep. John Dingell, the longest serving House member in the history of the country. He died in Feb, 2019. Trump suggested he was in hell looking up at her vote.
That slogan was used by another Republican: Ronald Reagan … who told Nixon Black men were just now learning to walk in proper shoes like white men. It is also a favorite of Klansmen all over the Midwest, going back years to when Stephenson ran the Klan.
White House: Trump 'just riffing' in swipe at late lawmaker Associated Press December 18, 2019, 11:28 PM EST excerpt: "BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) — The White House said Thursday that President Donald Trump was “just riffing” when he took a swipe at the late Rep. John Dingell during a raucous impeachment-day rally. Trump's targeting of the longtime Michigan Democrat drew a swift rebuke from his widow, who has succeeded her husband in the House. White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham told ABC's “Good Morning America" that she did not know why Trump decided to suggest that Dingell was in hell. “You'd have to talk to the president about that," she said. But Grisham added that Trump is a "counterpuncher" and she suggested that the president was venting his frustration Thursday night in Battle Creek after being impeached by the House. "It was a very very supportive and wild crowd and he was just riffing on some of the things that had been happening the past few days,” his spokeswoman said."
