We should consider the possibility he might be abusing asatru or is not an adequate representation of the pagan group in general. Just like the american Asatru folk assembly might be a perverted and politicised version of Asatru.

I am proud to be a democrat, @Painted tentoes. And I think that your opinion about corruption is valid. You can add to our conversation. But I don't think that that's accurate at all. We aren't corrupt. And while homelessness is a major problem, I don't think that it's due to corruption in our leadership. Let's look at it for a second.


You mentioned needles... Substance abuse is one problem. People get "hooked" and the way that they conceive of money changes - I know 'cause I've been there I'm not proud to say. What can we do besides offer addiction treatment? There is a whole lot to that particular issue that I don't really understand. But I think that the politicians here (I'm from California) are aware of the situation. They just don't have necessary money to offer addiction treatment - and like, a bed and board - to make things improved.

The other problem that stands out is the housing crisis, and that's what I really wanted to talk about. I was just talking to a girl at her job today (I was out shopping...) and she said this one place increased her rent $300. She moved out. Sometimes when that happens the people don't have the wherewithal to put it all back together when it falls apart 'cause of rent. The mentally ill come to mind.

But my point was going to be about rent control for one, and affordable housing for another. People get all "not in my backyard" about housing projects. That has got to stop! It's like people have no empathy or sympathy or whatever. So compassion is needed too. But the real deal is houses that are affordable. Or some kind of subsidy, but people want to bitch about entitlement spending.

So what are the other solutions that I'm not seeing? I think that many of the things that I brought to the table here are good viable points. I don't know what else could be done in fact.

SoulCompromise. I did not mean you personally as corrupt. Just mostin the party you support. You seem to think it’s ok to destroy a person for political gain, such as Cavanagh. But when it’s your people who do the very crime they accuse others of, like Biden he’s on tape doing what they accuse President Trump. Now about abuse. Your right. It’s a problem. But in my day you got arrested for doing drugs and they sure were not throwing needles on the street. But let’s not go with all the arrest maybe after the third time they have to committed into a 12 step program. And sourly did not let people shit all over the streets.my god we are much more civil then that. Now about the homeless problem. We defiantly want to help and assist people in need. But to make away of life off the government or anyone is wrong. People need to live within their means. If you can’t afgord 5 kids stop. Don’t make welfare away of life. But your party is plain corrupt.
