Mark my words, at the end of four more years, Trump will have done something so insane that even his supporters will have to admit it was stupid.
What you have to ask yourself is: Do I approve of Trump's threat to violate international law by bombing world cultural sites? Do I approve of unilateral assassination of other counties top government officials? Do I approve of unilateral withdraw from negotiated treaties that are being abided by and overseen by the world? Do I approve of having a constant serial liar in public office? Do I approve of constant insults against women, Republicans, Democrats, war heroes, Gold Star families, our own intelligence services, our own diplomats, immigrates, religions, our allies, etc., etc.,? Do I approve of the explosion of the national debt? Do I approve of deserting our allies? Do I approve of secret meetings with Vladimir Putin? Do I approve of giving away state secrets to the Russians? Do I approve of the pardoning of war criminals? Do I approve of an admitted past sexual predator? Do I approve of publicly and privately asking foreign governments to interfere in our elections for my own personal gain and withholding Congressional funds toward that end? Do I approve of racial discrimination? Do I approve of using a philanthropic organization to defraud our veterans? Do I approve of running a fake university to defraud students? Do I approve of nepotism? Do I approve of someone who promotes violence against the media and protestors? on and on...and I'll stop there. If you approve of the above, then Trump is your man.
Do you remember GW? George Walker Bush He did some pretty insane things......and what difference did it make in the end?
Why is vg so enamored with us politics? He says he lives in oz, but maybe he is not being truthful, maybe he is emulating his idol.
Well, a lot of people died. But since I arbitrarily live and am entirely self-absorbed, I guess yeah, you could say it makes no difference.
No dude, all I have to ask myself is how likely is it he will win the next election Which is really dependant on how many Americans that are going to bother voting actually give a shit about the stuff you just listed He was a Washington outsider from the start, so there will be a lot that will just think first term was about finding his feet. Then there is the opposition. Biden is the poster boy for secret old school Washington under the table deals. Sanders and Warren, 30 trillion or 52 trillion on healthcare is exactly the same kind of mistake Corbyn just made in the UK elections. That kind of talk just scares the crap out of people. At the moment, Trump is the lesser of two evils, and I don't see that changing by November unless they pull another Obama out of the hat And that's not Yang with his universal dole bludging scheme
I'm wondering that now. He has changed his military policy on Iraq three times today. First he was going to sanction them if the demand US troops leave, then one of his generals sent a letter to Iraq saying they would leave, then the Pentagon says they are staying. The Iraqis are wondering if Commander Bone Spur is Bipolar?
'Pay us back': Trump says troops will not leave airbase unless Iraq compensates US by Keith Koffler January 05, 2020 08:31 PM 'Pay us back': Trump says troops will not leave airbase unless Iraq compensates US excerpt: "The president did not specify the airbase, but he was presumably referencing the al-Asad Airbase in Anbar province, which he has previously said cost the United States a "fortune" to build. The base was originally built by the Iraqis, but the United States made investments to improve it after ousting Saddam Hussein in 2003. Trump said the U.S. would inflict crippling sanctions on Iraq if it forced U.S. troops to depart. “If they do ask us to leave, if we don’t do it on a very friendly basis, we will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever. It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame,” he said. “If there’s any hostility, that they do anything we think is inappropriate, we are going to put sanctions on Iraq, very big sanctions on Iraq.""
Yeah, so how is Trump worse than that?, pulls out of a couple war zones, lowest unemployment rate for decades Remember that photo of the 50 year old delivery truck and oh, that's proof Saddam has Chemical weapons, let's go kill 1/2 Million Iraqis. GW actually was a moron Megan calls it "betraying your allies" if a Republican president pulls out of a warzone. If a Dem president were to do it, he is ready to pull the guys pants down
The graph of G.W. Bush shows the approval bump he got after 9/11 and after his invasion of Iraq. It scored him some points short term but his approval fell consistently overall. It was around 25% near the end of his second term. A polar plot of his approval rating vs. time exhibits a continual downward spiral. People used to refer to it as the toilet flush.
No the guy who drops his pants is Lindsey Graham. And the unemployment rate looks good because Trump and the Republicans do not count unemployed people who ran out of monthly benefits and food stamps and may have given up on the system. Trump don't count them folks, millions of them. And Trump don't count the guys who sleep on the sidewalks, no sir.
Anger drives support for wartime presidents by Washington University in St. Louis June 30, 2010 https://phys.org/news/2010-06-anger-wartime.html excerpt: "It's no secret that Americans tend to throw their support behind a sitting U.S. president when the nation is thrust into a war or other potentially violent conflict with a foreign foe - a phenomenon known as the "rally 'round the flag effect." But new experimental psychology research from Washington University in St. Louis is the first to offer compelling evidence that these wartime surges in presidential support represent a collective reaction to a specific human emotion. "It's about anger, not anxiety," says Alan Lambert, PhD, professor of psychology in Arts & Sciences and lead author of the study published this month in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. "Anger is the engine that drives these sudden spikes in presidential approval ratings.""
