When I lived near Pittsburgh about half of the cars I owned were manual... No big deal. Especially after having a 75 Ford dump truck as a daily driver for about 2 years.

I guess if the clutch is worn down it matters. But a good clutch should last quite awhile? I admit though, most of the time I drive entirely horizontal. But have to cross and stop frequently on a hill like surface (bridges, dykes, etc.)

Pittsburgh is pretty harsh on a clutch...

my skylark was a manual. depends on the hills here.. we have some that are straight up steep and others that are average. but i do live in the heart of Pittsburgh. where's Ive to climb mountains in traffic. not a good place for manual.

Was hauling a load of gravel in the previously mentioned dump truck. Way over weight limit... stopped at the top of a steep hill for a red light, Guy behind me was driving the loader we used to fill the truck. I felt him bump my tailgate with his bucket when we stopped. Light turned green, I nailed it a rolled out the clutch. Lifted the front wheels all the way across the intersection... Buddy on the loader freaked, rolled into the car behind him.

    Amateurs...

The Miracle On The Hudson. 11 yrs ago Jan. 15th 2009 Chester Sully Sullenberger safely ditched US Airways Flight 1549 w/155 passengers & crew on the Hudson River NYC..

sadly I wont get to fly today, got to go in the other direction for car dealershit.. this one looks a little more promising tho.. fingers crossed. Maybe the Nissan Altima for 6K. its kinda pretty with a decent low mile engine.. I hate shopping ..

    That just bagels the mind

Thanks for sharing this! That was mighty sweet of ya :)

Unfortunately, it looks like the nearest locations are 6 hours away. There is a great bagel place walking distance from my house that meets my needs. Their avocado bagel is amazing

LOVE your avatar by the way

I now own a 2003 dodge neon.. I pick it up Friday. 3500$ .. Its not to bad, very clean, minor dent on driver door. perfect for less gas use getting back and forth to airplane..

happiness level 70% .. Not exactly what I want, but what I actually need..
