It's an admonition against ambition. Shakespeare's work is full of sexual references, but this isn't one of them.

Unfortunately for some of us there are drugs for other conditions that have a devastating impact on the physical aspects of sex:
Finasteride used to treat prostate issues has the effect of lowering testosterone...
Lower libido anyone?
Anti depressants in the SRI class often result in ED.

And of course heavy alcohol consumption has the same effect.

And diabetes is also linked to ED.
None of these drugs/conditions are short term for such unfortunates.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I can say this...I went to Basic Training at 17, not surprisingly...my "norm" before Basic was constant horniness, "morning wood", etc. But...in spite of the fact that I had a pretty damned attractive female TI, a *smoking hot* cute-as-fuck, female British Training Officer, who wore very sexy (but not inappropriate...quite) shorts during PT, and that there was an entire Flight (AF equivalent of a Platoon) of young, sexy female Basic Trainees right on the other side of a locked door in our dayroom, who loved to slide sexy Polaroids (if you're under 40...Google it!) of themselves under that door, wearing very little clothing...I don't remember EVER getting an erection, or even really feeling particularly horny.
