Nobody would, new construction increases CO2, and residential usage is only 10% of CO2.

We need to fundamentaly reform transportation and electricity production.

 

But that was one of the articles of the GND. To remodel, or tear down every non-green building, and replace them with greener buildings.

The word used is not "tear down" or even "remodel."
It is "retrofit"
Meaning the funding would be made available for every building in america to make energy efficient upgrades. It does not mean the government is going to forcibly tear down your house.

First you would need to get senate democrats to support the GND. When it went up for a vote, they all voted present. Including Sanders, Harris, Klobuchar, Warren, Booker, and all.
