I'm not perfectly a democrat. I don't care about assault weapon bans. America has a gun problem, but it's all handguns.

And I believe in balancing the budget, especially when we're in periods of economic growth, so I don't fit in with any party there. Libertarians maybe, which I supported when I was 15.

 

I really like the idea of a balanced budget. Clinton did one, didn't he? Incidentally, how do we pay our debt? It seems like we're falling behind. I guess just like a credit card that you're behind on.

Well, I think we're at a boiling point of sorts and the people want things that cost more money than we have from GDP growth (or wherever the government gets it's money). I'm not going to pretend to understand the budget because I don't. I don't know where legit money comes from in our government undertakings; I only know that money is borrowed from China.

I guess what I wanted to say was this: I think we need money right now and it would be a mistake to forgo some of these major changes in the name of conservative budgeting. I don't pretend to know when a more palatable time for catching up would be, but I think if we have the chance to implement changes to some of those major issues like climate change & abolishing ICE that you mentioned we should spend now and pay later.

 

I get a little tired of you trying to interpret what I say. First of all, I didn't say that about Sanders. My point is this is one of his key talking points.

But the fact is, they all take private jets to campaign. And Sanders is the only one (besides Steyer lol) who is really calling out climate change for the existential threat it is and pushing for policies that support making major structural changes to combat climate change.

And one also must be critical of sources that try to sway opinions one way or another. You posted a hit piece put out by a right wing media outlet. Of course they want you to focus more on Sanders supposed hypocrisy rather than what he will actually do to help the environment and combat climate change. They want their readers to focus on that because they take a very climate change denying, anti environmental stance. Beware of media outlets who are pushing an agenda, homeslice

 

Sanders is so not the only one pushing for environmental changes to address climate change. That's just not true... not sure who actually said it.

Not that it matters to me, I'm more concerned with their environmental policies. And in order to be in a position of power to enact those policies they have to first defeat Trump which requires running an efficient campaign

You didnt post a poll, you posted an opinion piece that basically posed the argument that Sander's fight for environmental justice should be disregarded because he uses private jets in his campaign.
I'm not going to go around and around about this, like I said they all have used private jets so you're putting forth a purity test here that none of the Democrats can pass
