I'm sitting here waiting for the conspiracy theories that Trump via the CIA unleashed an artificial coronavirus to take focus off the impeachment trial and help with his little trade war

It's the impeachment process itself. None of them knew exactly how it's supposed to work. It's only been used seriously once for a President before. Setting up a trial where the jury are all buddies of the accused is basically what it is. It's nonsensical from the start.

Republican senators voting against witnesses. We will never really find out what they actually voted for. Was it actually anything about the process they voted for. Or did they vote that way because they knew most in their electorates don't give a shit about Ukraine and they personally wanted to avoid an extra week of long boring testimony, further extended because everyone seems to need to take a break every hour....which ultimately cuts into their golf time

Trumps so innocent so why bother going through the actual trial process? Trumps taxes are so perfect so why release them to the public? It's the same old crap from this administration. Seriously have to have blinders on to believe anything coming from Trump at this point. But of course Trump supporters have blinders on. After all it is called a narrow world view...

The impeachment and removal of Nixon went through after he resigned. The Senators and Representatives wanted us to have a Blue Print to go by. We also got a Blue Print from Bob Mueller, because he knew before anyone else that William Barr was going to shield Trump. In the Senate, McConnell and his pals are shielding Trump. Adam Schiff is not going to let the matter go away. He has everything Lev Parnas gave him in the last few weeks.

 

It began far earlier than Trump or Obama. Both of them are products of the divide. We've been heading toward this train wreck for decades.

But I have to say, it's just plain amazing how well Trump has become fly paper for all the ills of the nation. I'm willing to bet someone can link him to Jim Crow and swear it's his fault.

 

Same thing happened with Aids (before we called it HIV). There was a proposal to quarantine the infected. But, they were predominantly gay men. So it was twisted into a plot by the government to create concentration camps for homosexuals.

And the government capitulated to those worries instead of actually trying to contain the disease. So, to make everybody "feel" better, they allowed the disease to infect everyone's life in some way.

 

Your country was already polarized before Trump. It's not on Obama though. And Trump does easily add to it. But that it was already so polarized actually made it possible for Trump to get elected.

Smerconish just did a poll about Lamar Alexander's explanation concerning his vote on disallowing witnesses in Trump's removal trial. Alexander had claimed that Trump had been proven guilty but it did not warrant his removal. 88% of the people who responded to that poll disagreed with Lamar Alexander who is Republican. The image of November's Vote is starting to take shape.
