If Stormountainman and 6-eyed would be representative of the average american voter I probably would also retreat from involving myself in national politics and social concerns. I honestly can't blame the apathic american citizen that throws away their vote.
It's utterly hopeless with the two party system, electoral college, and the amount of supposedly reasonable people resorting to charged and extremist mudslinging.

 

Gun have a use for sportsman , some compete some hunt..Hunters and fisherman are great for wildlife. The money spent on hunting helps pay for forest rangers and management of the forests . Pluss if live in city with lot of crime no matter if you old , small female. or what ever you can protect yourself and sleep better at night with gun,,Just long as know how use it and practice keep ya self familiar with it..

So the Senate votes 51-49 against allowing witnesses. We needed 4 Republicans to vote for it and got only 2.

The main argument Trump's lawyers presented against witnesses is "it would be a waste of time." So basically they're saying we're going to acquit him no matter what, so let's get it over with.

Expect Trump to be acquitted on Wednesday. Apparently the Repubs are hoping this will all blow over in the next nine months until the election so they won't be voted out of office, or they see the writing on the wall and are trying to hold onto (and exploit) what they have as long as they can. I don't see it blowing over, nor do I see Trump avoiding controversy for the rest of his term. I await his next clusterfuck.
